Thanks so much! You'll get there, too. I'm excited for the next 100 – will see an even bigger difference. I have to be patient.0 -

I started by logging my food for a couple weeks. Then when I got the hang of that I bought a food scale, and started weighing everything for accuracy. Then I bought a Fitbit and started to really understand the calories in vs out process. I read the forums everyday to try and learn as much about nutrition as I could and find recipes. That helped a lot.
I stayed motivated by taking progress photos every 10lbs lost and seeing the differences. By reading the success stories here on mfp everyday and knowing that someday I would get to write my own story!0 -

@MsSquatAlot - I'm guessing by your name that weight lifting was involved? Did you do extra ab work or is that awesome flatness you've achieved from the general routine? Really impressive.0 -
Not at goal yet, but getting closer. 1st pic is at 277 lbs. in July 2014.
This one at about 160 or so. I'm at 154 now, with original goal at 150, but am probably going to go lower, likely somewhere between 135-150. I'm 56 years old and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2014, so post-menopausal hypothyroid women CAN lose weight.
