Since I just joined today, I will tell you a little about me. :blushing:
My name is Debbi and I am 49 years old. I live in Washington State and I am a Domestic Engineer. LOL I have a wonderful husband who treats me so well. I am so blessed to have a man like that as my husband. He is amazing!! I have 3 children, 2 daughters and 1 son. I have 3 wonderful grandchildren, 1 boy and 2 girls. I love being a mama and a grandma!!
Over the last year I have put on 40 pounds. I've been struggling with a major depression and of course I turned to food. Over the last 10 years I had been able to stay at my ideal weight or pretty close to it. Then the depression hit and those 40 pounds showed up. I'm ready to get them off and I hope my body is ready to let go of them as well. I've been trying to eat right and within my calorie limit since January but the weight will not budge. Someone told me that because I was severely depressed for so long, my body might not be ready to lose the weight as it was in "crisis mode" for so long.
I currently weigh 168 and my goal weight is 125. My goal for next week is to work out at least 3 times, to eat more vegetables, and to drink my allotment of water.

I lost 3 lbs the first week feels real good!! My goal is to drink all my water this week and continue my log on weekends thats when I slacked. Try and contain myself with all festivities going on.0

I missed the weigh in date, but i try to weigh in only once or twice every 1 or 2 weeks (doing a lot of strength training and cardio so I don't trust the scale totally for progress and well, motivation- rather I continue to try on my old wardrobe) I am down 1 pound since my last weigh in and I didn't join this group too much later than that- so I guess I'm starting at an awesome 1lb down.
More to come- feel free to friend me if you want/need a boost like: 'wheeeew!' and a 'you rock!'. I pepper in others too0 -

Not much progress this week. Lost only .5kg but maybe that had something to do with a bad eating day yesterday - went to my sisters for dinner. Hard to stay on track when you go out! And then I ate chocolate afterwards - and I didn't even enjoy it (dark chocolate with a sickly sweet filling - yech) Oh well - you live and learn.
So - only a .67% loss this week, and I'm not even sure that happened because it would be well within the margin of error of the scales!

Gotta love a good 4.8 loss the week before. This week we went out to eat and my resolve to jump back into it was not there.

My goal for this week is to get 250 calorie exercise and not go over calories. Too make wise choice and keep my sodium under 2,500.0 -
