Calorie deficit, and heavy lifting. Fit foods you like into your calorie goal, hit your macros.

If other people don't like the way you look, it's their problem, not yours.

Get enough protein while you're counting calories, so you stay full better and longer, and yes lift weights. Helps a lot.

I have never been "bikini body" perfect as per the magazines. But since I started losing and working and sweating and lifting, I decided that my body is hot! It is mine, it can work for me, It can take me so many places. At about 175lbs I realized this and though that is not what society deems perfect, I bought my first bikini ever! I had never even worn one in high school(oh how I wish I had appreciated myself then). Nobody on the beach is perfect, nobody on the beach actually cares either. I have seen many shapes and sizes out there and it does not matter. I am out there. I sweat it out in the gym hours before, crushed those miles or that bar and I am going to be comfy in my skin. Three baby stretch marks and all!

If you want to wear a Bikini, wear one! Be confident and be happy!

Thank you so much. All the kind words are helping slightly. I just continue to compare myself from how I looked in high school and even though I w accomplished so much since then, having kids changed my body and I am working harder everyday to improve it for a healthier more confident me.

You know what you were in high school? A CHILD! Of course your body has changed! You're an adult and a mother! Wanting your high school body is completely unrealistic even if you hadn't had kids!

(Frankly, I'd hate to get back to my high school body. I was flat as a pancake with no curves.)

Get a bikini, wear it around the house, so you are confident in it. Once you are confident, no matter your size, etc, you will rock the beach.
I am far from perfect, haven't worn a bikini since I was 20, now, years later, I wear one and don't care what anyone thinks.
Count your calories, move some weights, and hit the beach as though you own it.

    Cheers, h.
