What are your best HABITS for losing weight?

I lost 25 pounds in less than a month on an all liquid diet because of my jaw surgery. It's not the best or healthiest way to lose weight, but it sure as hell works. I'm trying that again right now.0

Planning has been my key habit. Pre-logging foods so I have the "plan" in my mind, I adjust as the day happens but having it planned loosely is key. Work days are easier than weekends, because on the weekend I have my partners feelings and desires in the mix. He likes at least one big breakfast day per weekend, Im leaning away from that stuff so its tough. We are going to work together tonight to make a plan that can please us both and meet my goals as well.0

Preparing my own meals using a food scale

This. As well as using the MFP options smartly.0 -
I pre-log my meals.
So I will log all of Monday on Sunday as I go to bed.0 -
I'd say that the two best habits to have are stretching every morning (to keep you physically alert and gives a great boost of energy.)
The second habit to have is eating healthy and making proper nutrition decisions.
Good luck!0 -
Food scale. Meal planning. Putting a physical lock on my fridge at night to prevent binge carb eats. Staying motivated with the idea of friends and family rooting for me.

-Drinking tea
-Walking every day
-Logging/weighing food
-Logging/weighing myself
-Packing lunch and travel-friendly snacks
-Taking the stairs
-Parking further away than I need to
-Getting off the bus a stop early and walking the rest of the way
-Wearing my FitBit
-Making my own recipes
-Believing in myself0 -
Walking... every day. Weighing... myself & everything I eat, except for food served to me in other people's homes or restaurants. Waiting... before I eat; just to check in & make sure that's really what I want to be doing at that moment. I was surprised at how much unconscious, knee jerk 'see food diet' eating I was doing. I really try to pause and reflect a little before I just dive in.0

journal writing.
Keep track of exercise, diet, goals. Keeps me honest.0 -
Intermittent fasting!!0
-
Regular long duration cardio
I am assuming you don't consider following the calorie amount listed by MFP using a food scale as a good add on habit
That is a core part of just following the plan.0 -
These are awesome habits!!!! Thanks!!!!0

I no longer always find an excuse. I used to have an excuse for everything, I'm a busy single mum etc. I work out at home when the little one is in bed if I can't get to the gym and I pre cook two weeks worth of meals and freeze them. Then I can make healthy convenient choices all week and a little treat on the weekend0

Logging everything
Being aware of how many calories are in biscuits/crisps etc....
Running0 -
Wearing a Fitbit Charge HR (love that thing)
Using a food scale
Staying over 10k steps a day
Getting enough sleep
Strength training0 -
