    Haven't posted on here in a while, life gets busy. But my goal was 19 miles this month as I wasn't a runner before and would go to the gym randomly and only with a buddy. Happy to say I made it to 23 miles I now run for the most part everyother day and it doesn't matter if I go with anyone or not now. While I may not have posted I remembered that I made a commitment to a goal and it kept me going. Hoping the will be a February challenge. :)

    1/3/2015: 1.95 miles outside, because I was too lazy to drive to the gym (?!)
    1/4/2015: 4.34 miles treadmill, driving to the gym was terrifying (ask me about my POS car.)
    1/5/2015: Rest (replaced car and dealt with insurance)
    1/6/2015: Rest (still dealing with insurance - switching to new agency)
    1/7/2015: 3.52 miles treadmill (and running around with old insurance agency, some more!)
    1/9/2015: 4.21 miles treadmill
    1/12/2015: 3.5 miles treadmill
    1/14/2015: 6.99 miles treadmill (I did 2 Zombies, Run! missions, one with hills and one flat, and added the mileage when I got home, or that would be an even 7.)
    1/16/2015: 3 treadmill and 3 treadmill - competing against my brother. I failed in the morning and went back to try again in the afternoon. Beat his time by 27 seconds.
    1/19/2015: 1 mile on the treadmill in my brother's gym about 10 seconds slower than his. My lungs finally feel a bit better. That was the dustiest nasty treadmill I hope to ever use. There are ruts worn into the platform that made my run feel like I was running in an icy wheel rut. But the rock salt and dust was worse than the bumpy ride. Ugh.
    1/20/2015: 3 miles treadmill
    1/26/2015: 6.04 miles treadmill 27 miles left, in 5 days. That seems a tiny bit ambitious, for me.
    1/27/2015: 6.09 miles treadmill
    1/28/2015: 5.34 miles treadmill - I have asked my husband to help me in these last 3 days to be accountable for my mileage. He understands that it is all his fault if I do not reach my goal (j/k).

    I wasn't taking it personally - but it got me off my butt and to the gym. Spring is good. No ice on the roads and sidewalks will be good. I don't expect that in February. All in good time. BD

    @LoneWolfRunner‌ - 144 miles in the weather you have been running in (-xx) may be a goal missed but definitely NOT a failure!

    10.25 miles today for a January total of 132 miles!

    Goal was 100 which I fell short of the last two months. I am amazed that I accomplished that much running. And truly inspired by all of you. See you in February!

    My final run for January was Saturday, 1/31. 7.46 miles in one hour, 18 minutes. My first run without walking breaks! Though I came in very short of my goal, I am proud that the flare up of my old spine injury did not stop me from continuing to try. I'm hoping to run 48 miles in February.

    I ended up the month with 123 running miles, so met both my regular and stretch goals. I was planning on running a half in February but my right knee started acting up during a 14 miler and so this week I kept things shorter and now the left is actually much more of an issue than the right. I'm in excellent shape running wise, and want to keep it that way so I've been much more cautious the last week or so.

    The person who I was going to join for the half has a conflict and the thought of racing this solo, coupled with injury risk and driving 4 hours each way is making this less likely. We have a half in my city the 3rd week of February and so I may just do that if the weather is good and my knee starts feeling better.

    Onto February. I really appreciate this thread even if I only check in 2 times a month. It is very motivational.
