I am 5'6"In teens, 20s, and 30s I maintained in the low 120s's, even through the birth of my four children. After 45 or so (I'm almost 51 now), the pounds gained every winter started rapidly outpacing the pounds lost every spring! I was up to 160 last summer and am now holding between 142- 145. Holidays were a bit rough but back on track.
My goal is to weigh between 130-135 and wear a size 6 dress for my son's college graduation in May!

5'6" borderline small/medium frame. Weight 125 aiming for 120-that's hard to maintain so I dug out the carrots/celery.

5'6" current weight is 190lbs, aiming for 150 to start off, already lost 19lbs over the last 3months, so hoping to lose another 15-20 over the next 3 months etc

I am 5'6 and started at 264.... now I am down to 229.4. My FIRST goal is 170, then I would like to get down to 160 if possible from there. Trying to pick something that feels more attainable. I've been on here for a year now and successfully lost 35 lbs. Actually had lost 43 but gained some back over the holidays. Back at it doing what I know works! Don't give up  Feel free to add me as I always love having new friends to get advice from!

Some of you might like this site:

    http://whatwillilooklike.com/#2ywpqg

You can filter by sex, height & weight to get a visual of what you might look like at a certain weight.

This website may derail any possibility of productivity for me. I could sit and look through it for hours! It gives me a lot to look forward to.

OMGOSH!! I love this site! What is crazy to me is this.... Look at these women who are 160-170 lbs and they look GREAT, so fit and still curvy and feminine.. but according to the BMI Chart are overweight. UGH. I hate that!

5'7", athletic build. Started at 180-ish. Currently in the 135-140 range where I have been maintaining for a year--I'm on the higher end this week due to the Christmas holiday. Would ultimately like to get down to 125-ish.

5'6, goal is 126...After Christmas I've a few to lose! ETA: Frame? Hourglass-y I think, big bum, boobs but I definitely need to tone it all back up after this past couple of weeks!

5'6 with a medium frame U.S. size 4. I started around 210. My original goal was 135 and that's what I've been maintaining around. I'd like to put on around 5 pounds of muscle to end up at 140-143 with about the same Bf% i'm at now.

5'6", medium frame I think? I have small wrists, but I don't think I'm small framed.
    Maintaining at 160

I'm 5'7". I started at 281.2lbs, current weight is 209.2lbs, my goal weight is somewhere between 150-170. The lowest I can remember being as an adult is 180 so I have no idea what lies past that.

My starting weight was 214 lbs. Current today at 185 lbs. Ultimate goal is 165 lbs.... but I'm planning to get pregnant within the year, so right now my goal is 170-175 lbs before that happens. I'm 5'7

5'7" with a small frame by the wrist test, but fairly broad shoulders, so maybe I'm more medium framed, but with long fingers, lol. Shooting for 140-145. That will put me at a size 6.

You and I are very similar. I have broad shoulders and small breasts, so tops are hard to fit. I'm currently 160, I want to be 147 or a size small. I wear a medium/7 right now, I'd like to be a 6.

5'6", shooting for healthy BMI, about 6 lbs away. And then I'll just keep going until I'm satisfied, I guess. Probably 120's range.

By your test I'm small framed. By the NIH test I'm also small framed having a 5.5" wrist:

    https://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/imagepages/17182.htm

    Height over 5' 5"
Small = wrist size less than 6.25"
    Medium = wrist size 6.25" to 6.5"
Large = wrist size over 6.5"

My lower body from the waist down is pretty solid, though, so not sure how much stock to put into this. I have huge feet and a big booty, my lower body is not exactly 'petite' even though my upper body might fit that description.

I'm 5'7 and small boned. I'm currently 142lb, aiming for 132lb (have lost 7lb in the past 2 months). Currently size 8, want to get down to a 4-6. After the birth of my first child ten years ago, I dieted down to 128lb but it was unsustainable - I was permanently starving and found it hard to keep the weight off. I found that 132 was a good number for me; I am comfortable at that weight, fit into most size 6 clothes, and can maintain it reasonably easily.

Now that I am over 40, it is much harder to lose weight but am hanging in there with meal planning, tracking and exercise, and it's slowly coming off!
  • I'm 5'7 and my weight is fluctuating a lot. Last week i was 142 and this week I am 150. I just had a baby 10 months ago and just now getting back into this. My goal is 130 and to lose the cellulite in my legs (i have it so bad) intime for my florida trip in April.

I'm 5'6 and I'd say I have a medium frame. Last time I weighed myself, about 6 weeks ago, I was 168lbs. My profile pic is from last week. The dress is a UK12 (US 8). My youngest child is 20 months old, and before I was pregnant with her I was 154lbs, down from 220lbs after I'd had my second child. So I'm aiming to get back to around 154lbs, possibly 150. I was 145lbs years ago at my smallest and a US size 6, but could fit into clothes I'd kept when I got to 154lbs.

5'7" SW ~ 167. My current goal weight is ~140. I'd reaaaally like to be closer to 135, but I think 140 is a good goal, and it's really not too far from 135. CW 160 (was 157 in early November when I stopped counting soooo... not too bad I think).

I'm 5'7". My starting weight is 235. Two and a half years ago I joined this site at a similar weight and got down to 178...and then I got lazy and unmotivated and here I am, having gained almost everything back. I'm disgusted with myself, but motivated to get back on track. My goal is 160, same as before.

I'm 5'7'', starting weight was 71.5kg (157lb), currently sitting on 65.8kg (145lb) and my goal is 60kg (132lb). I'm feeling slightly disheartened at the moment due to water weight from my menstrual cycle and a few extra treats over Christmas, but I'm going to work hard for the next six months and continue to lose fat, build muscle and get the body I want! Initial weight loss was very noticeable in my chest, face, stomach and waist... just waiting for it to reflect on my thighs, arms and butt!

I'm 5'6 3/4 (used to be 5'7"!). My goal weight is 10 stone to 10 stone 5 (140-145 lbs). I'm in my goal zone, have been for 4 years for the most part, although a few lbs crept on in the past year from complacency. MFP has been a great tool; I initially lost on WW, but decided to switch to the free MFP. I work out a lot - bootcamp 3x week, Pilates reformer 1x week, power step 2/3x per week, plus various Kettlebell & short tabata workouts. Want to stay strong, increase muscle a bit, keep bone density in good range to avoid osteoporosis, look & feel younger & more active & healthier than my peers ( I'm over 50

I'm 5'6", I used to be 5'7.5" but scoliosis. I'm 41. Starting weight in Oct of 2015 was 196 is now 164. Goal weight is 150 or less. Recently joined a gym to improve stamina and flexibility. I hope. It's difficult though. I have chronic pain, the rheumatologist thinks I have lupus or MCTD, I have scoliosis, diabetes, 2 heart stents, Hashimoto's, and stage 3 ckd. So, yeah. Difficult but not impossible I think.

I'm 5'6", I would say medium frame, bordering on larger frame as I have broad shoulders.

    SW 170
    CW 163
    GW 130-140

I was previously pretty happy with my body at about 150 as well. I plan to reassess my goal weight as I continue to lose depending on how I feel about my body and health at the time. I do not think that knowing my body frame and weight even in high school when I was quite thin that a weight under 130 is particularly attainable or manageable for me.

I'm 5'6" and currently weigh 139. Medium frame. I don't have a goal weight at the moment just losing fat and gaining muscle.

For those of you wondering, a simple way to measure your frame size is to wrap your fingers around your wrist. If your fingers don't meet, you are likely a large frame. If they meet, you are likely more medium frame size and if they overlap, you are likely a small frame. There is a fancier (and more reliable, probably) way to do this and involves measuring your wrist and forearm and plugging it into a calculator but for me the wrist test is just fine :)

My fingers overlap a ton. But maybe I just have long fingers because my hip bone and acrimionbprocess widths aren't "small" Pretty happy at 140-145.
