Sugar free almost no carb diet

So I am on a protein sparing diet. Everything I eat has to be sugar free. Also it cannot exceed 3 grams of fat or carbs per ounce. It's very strict. I'm wondering if anyone has any food ideas that are actually decent. I haven't thought of too much. Any ideas are appreciated! Thanks!

If there are medical reasons for this diet, then talk to your dr and ask specific instructions. I doubt you can come up on your own with a 100% protein diet. Good luck.0

Did a doctor give you this diet? If so, he/she did not point you to a nutritionist or give the food list of things to eat and the ones to avoid?
I would not even feel right giving recipes or advise on eating like this...
I would go back to who ever gave you this diet and get a food list and how to cook and prepare your food.. No butter or oil to cook with I presume..

It is doctor prescribed. I have a list of meat I can eat. And a list of vegetables that I can have 2 servings of a day. I was just looking for ideas that could make what I'm eating taste better. Like I made a zucchini noodle pasta that was really good. I just don't know what else to do with the stuff I can eat. I'm pretty much eating the same thing every day.0

Herbs, spices, and salt.

Yeah I do a LOT of that. ☺️0

Sounds deadly dull to me. Bacon. Wrap everything in bacon. If pork is off the list, turkey bacon.0

It is very dull. And very unpleasant. I have found very few enjoyable things to eat. And I can only have 12 ounces of protein a day. So I don't get much. But it pays off quickly. 8 lbs in 3 days! It's not a long term diet. But this is something I can do for a few months, and drop some weight, and then start dieting a "normal" way.0

I can't imagine that diet, but I bet you will have some huge take-aways. I hope you can share any new ideas and recipes on the boards0

I am new to this site and I have done a high protein low carb diet and it works. It's important to monitor your ketones in your body so you stay in the fat burning range. I will post recipes for you.0

So you are limiting protein...
Fat bombs may suit you. There are many recipes out there. Keto coffee is tasty and filling. Cheeses are not bad but watch the protein. Eggs, mainly the yolks. Macadamia nuts are the fattest nuts.

So if you are limiting vegetables, protein, and sugar, what's left? Bread? Fat? How many calories are you clearing a day?0

i love fat bombs!!0

So you can only have 12 ounces of protein and everything else must have less than 3 grams of carbs or protein per ounce? That sounds like a vlc diet. I would just say to let seasonings be your friend and good luck.0

so there is no medical issue with sugar of carbs. Just a way of dieting?

It's just a way of losing weight very fast. It's called a Protein Sparing Modified Fast.0 -

Even the protein has to be less than 3g of fat and carbs per ounce. I get 12 ounces a day. And I get two servings of vegetables. It is vcl. About 600-700 calories a day. But since it is overseen by a doctor, it won't harm me. I'm on many vitamin supplements. But yes! I do love seasonings! ☺️0 -

No bread. I can't have carbs. I'm only eating about 600-700 calories a day. But like I said, since it's is overseen by a doctor it isn't super unhealthy like that vlc intake usually would be. I take lots of supplements.0 -

how about you give us a list of the foods you can eat, and we can help come up with some flavor combinations that you might not have thought of.
if you're not eating any fat or carbs, even for cooking, this is going to be bland and boring. but you obviously already know that, it sounds like.0 -
Here is someones blog that is on the same diet. They have listed condiments, spices and some recipes. Hope this helps.

I made a wonderful Baked Spaghetti Squash casserole with homemade tomato sauce, cheese and ground turkey. Could you possible use this recipe? I really didn't measure, just put it all together and baked at 350 until it was nice and bubbly. The spaghetti squash takes some prep--has to be cooked--before using it for the casserole, but it was 1st time making it and it was delicious and filling.0

Bigos is just meat, sauerkraut, and veggies.0

600-700 calories a day? That is insane. Totally insane. I don't care if a doctor said this is ok, it really isn't. You want to do this for a few months? Good god. Then diet the "normal" way? So like double or triple your calories at that point? You are better off making reasonable changes to your current diet that you can live with. Loosing so much weight that rapidly can open up a whole bigger can of problems. Really, this is an awful idea. Taking pills because you cant eat food is insane. All of this is insane. You will loose muscle mass, among other things.0

I might be able to use it. I can't have tomato sauce or cheese. But I might be able to come up with a way to replace them with something else. ☺️0 -
