I've started my Whole 30 today too! I've been doing some reading online to try and get my head around all the rules - some don't make sense to me, but I'm willing to give anything a go. Best of luck to us all! 2016 is going to be the year I make some changes.0

It's a diet to see what foods you are allergic to. Elimination diet would be another name for it.0

If you read It Starts With Food, it makes all the sense in the world. Very informative book. This elimination diet is very restrictive but I believe in the science behind it 100%.0 -
It is an elimination diet. In It Starts With Food, it's explained that the diet is based on four good standards. These being that what we eat will benefit our bodies hormonally, psychologically, immunologically, and digestively. It's an amazing diet, but very restrictive. For me, I have to follow it on going not just for 30 days, it has that big of an impact on me. I also have other food issues, like eating based on Fodmaps, and antiinflammatory. As you can imagine it got very overwhelming and I lost control. My husband and I are trying again this month. He has been dealing with full blown psoriasis this past year, so I think this will help him alot. We will see.0

I'll join! I'll start on Monday. I did this about a year ago and it made a huge difference in my life. Not only weight loss but it cleared up sinus and inflammatory issues I'd been having for years. Unfortunately, I resorted to bad habits during a stressful time last September and my issues are back. Ready to go back to healthy0

I'd love to join! I started yesterday (1/4). I really want a nutritional restart after realizing that I HAVE to have a sweet after lunch & dinner and that my eating is super pasta/bread/grains focused. I want to break those things and, full confession, I'd love to get a head start on losing some weight along the way.
I'm finishing up Day 2 and though I miss a few things, it feels good already.0 -

I was like that day 4. Day 5 I was back to normal.0 -
I'd like to join the challenge, but don't know how. I started whole30 January 3rd. Been going well so far except headaches on and off and some tiredness. I lost 5 pounds the first week (water wait I assume) but gained 2 of it back????? even with following it strictly and staying within calorie range.0

I am starting the Whole30 approach again today. I went about three weeks through the 30 day elimination diet during October 2015: absolutely loved it, felt great, made my own mayonnaise and the other no sugar/dairy/grain/legume recipes, learned to be able to drink coffee black (though had to upgrade to Americano coffees to do so). Dropped quite a bit of weight as well (I think about 12 pounds). Had to quit because I was experiencing real problems due to not getting near enough fibre - I found that tough to do on this diet without grains or legumes.
Am re-starting and will be monitoring fibre intake closely this time, fingers crossed0 -
I am day 8... its going sooo much better than I thought it would!0
-
I would love to join, I am on day 7... man it's hard but I think it will totally be worth it!0

I'm day 3, would love to join. I think I have celiac disease or gluten intolerance, had duodenal biopsies last week to find out, which is why I had to wait to start. I gave up pop before Christmas and processed sugars before New Years Day. So far, so good, I've been a little tired and a little hungry today. I feel like anyone who does a Whole30 should read the book It Starts with Food.0

Currently on day 5 - would love to join a group if there's one there!
