Prepare your meals ahead of time so you can eat throughout the day. While it doesn't matter for weight loss how many meals / day you eat, if you want a certain body composition it's best to not eat all your protein in one meal, not to mention eating that much protein at once will be difficult...

When you have trouble meeting calorie requirements - look to add more calorie dense foods. Nuts, nut butters, avocado, olive oil, full fat dairy.

Plan ahead by bringing some small snacks to work. I pack my breakfast the same way I pack my lunch.....the night before (so not a morning person). Breakfast is Greek yogurt, nuts, and high fiber cereal. I pack the dry ingredients in a ziplock bag and can dash out the door.

Get into meal prepping, get into pre-logging. It's important to make time to eat, even if it's 30 minutes.

Thanks for your advice...I do have days I prepare and maybe get breakfast in at some point. But my problem is ...some days there just isn't time to eat. Don't want to say to much but I work in NHS and days are crazy. I'm so confused as if I have 5 stone to drop, won't it just come off better if I don't manage all the calories?

No and I'm pretty sure that's how most of us got here. Not paying attention to how much we're eating.

If you really are that busy then perhaps you could drink a good breakfast smoothie on the ride into work, then have a food bar and water there that you can get quick bites from here and there.

Not ideal, but not time consuming either. Personally I like Quest bars, chocolate chip cookie dough is my present fave, but there are plenty of others out there. I would just look for something with a good amount of protein and not too much sugar that you like.

There's nothing wrong in having one big meal when you get home. You didn't get 5 stone overweight (and I say that as someone who was also 5 stone overweight) by not being able to eat enough unless you've just suddenly changed jobs. It's really easy to add calories with little volume by adding butter/oil/sauces. A slice of toast with peanut butter or even Nutella before bed can be a good calorie hit too (make sure to weigh the peanut butter/Nutella as they are very calorie dense).

I did change jobs 3 years ago and have gone to minimal exercise...
But that's all in the past, I'm trying my best to watch what passes my lips and have a personal trainer once a week. I don't mind having less calories, I was just confused why it won't add my food diary for that reason.
Less calories, more active = weight off ...goal!

If you are referring to the app / site not allowing you to close your diary for the day because you didn't hit 1200 calories then that is nothing to worry about - it stores all the data just the same. That feature is to discourage anorexics but catches others out too.

You need to get your protein and fat intake up, have a chat with a passing dietitian. Your food is logged to your diary :-
