I would like to make it for a friend who is lactose intolerant...what do you think I should sub the cream with: almond milk, ground cashews, coconut milk? Any other suggestions welcome!

can you get lactose free cream? here in australia we have this stuff called Liddell's - they do lactose free everything milk, cream, cheese etc and all yummy.0

Coconut milk is commonly used in soups and is a little thicker (especially the milk higher in fat).0

I would try it with coconut milk. Make it before hand as a trial run and see if it works out okay.0
