Pls help. I joined this site yesterday and I'm looking for simple recipes to make. I see SO many yummy dishes here. Is it possible to get the recipes or is this just a show and tell?
Welcome!
This thread is mostly just about pictures, although many of the posters will provide a recipe if there is something specific you are interested in, assuming they made it themselves although many of us post pictures of our restaurant meals.
There is a Recipes section of the forum that you may want to check out. Some of the threads, like the Slow Cooker ones, can include hundreds of great ideas and recipes.

I also always recommend reading the Most Helpful Posts at the top of each forum section, especially the Getting Started one since you are new here.

Well, it's not healthy but I think it's pretty cool because this cake I made was on the front page of reddit yesterday and apparently made it to the front page of imgur as well.
It's an "apple pie cake" my boyfriend requested for his birthday. It's a buttermilk vanilla cake with cinnamon, apple cider whisky caramel drizzle, homemade apple pie filling, and a cookie butter brown butter buttercream. It was delicious! I'm happy to say I exhibited self control when eating it too
(some more pics: http://imgur.com/a/Up9TU and the original reddit post, which talks a little more about how I made it: https://www.reddit.com/r/food/comments/41u5by/my_boyfriend_requested_an_apple_pie_cake_for_his/)

I try not to picture quote in here, but if ever one deserved it - it's this one. That's amazing, and it sounds delicious as well!!!! I'm a huge sucker for cookie butter and brown butter...0 -

Today's dinner was Falafel and tabbouleh with mango banana nice cream for dessert. Everything was made from scratch and oh so good. The kids weren't thrilled over dinner (but they did eat it) but they LOVED the nice cream.
