It wasn't because he wanted to impress me. He had moved to our town from elsewhere and just made up a new story about who he was and where he came from. I met him a few years after he moved there and all his friends heard the same stories. I had no reason to doubt him. We had mutual friends and they thought he was who he said he was as well. I think he had told the lies so long, he started to believe them. He was very convincing.

My fave catfish was a 25 yr old woman who was flirty with men and women told guys she was a dominatrix and women she was a lesbian only to find out the pics were of his ex wife who left him because he liked dressing up like a woman and he was in his late 50's more butch than a hairy biker , when he was found out he then claimed he was transgender and a lesbian ???? Hahaha
