So... I ate a slice of pizza a chicken nugget and a glass of milk and all my macros are balanced perfectly for the first time ever.

Looks good, but 1 chicken nugget sounds so lonely it makes me sad.

I'm guessing it wasn't pizza that was from Planet Fitness because then it would be the devil and not healthy at all.

People tend to not take me seriously when I say pizza is the perfect food. The only thing that's missing is chocolate.

Lol, for some reason the idea of "breakfast" usually has to revolve around eggs, oatmeal, cereal, fruit and or a "smoothie" of some sort.
Truth is, the body doesnt' care. Feed it with the correct macros/micros regardless of source, and you're fine.

Yep...I can't think of another food that has such a balance of all three macros (and tastes yummy to boot!)

Actually as long as you have the right veggies on top, you can theoretically get not only the macros but all your vitamin/minerals as well. ;)

It amuses me how often people speak of pizza as if that gives any indication of what was eaten.

I have found tacos or quesadillas are also very balanced. My jawbone food grade loves them. Haha!

Pizza is actually pretty spot on when it comes to macros for me, lol. The problem I guess is that macros don't tell the whole story and, for the calories, pizza just doesn't fill me up that much.

I admit that I did consider making myself some pizza for breakfast this morning though. Got to look up some breakfast pizza recipes now.

@richln It was technically one of the "boneless bites" Pizza hut does... but to me they just look like chicken nuggets.

Alright... For anyone who is interested... Since i had Pizza on hand, i decided to do a little experiment and see just what my macros looked like after eating pizza ALL DAY. So i ate it again for lunch, and again for supper... Cut out milk at supper because i was pushing fat, and ran out of chicken, so I fell a little short on protein, but here it is:

I'm in a weight loss challenge at work and I love pizza but have been avoiding it. So I don't have to worry about all the carbs? As long as I stay under on my macros I'm good?

@tpayne7277 Everything in moderation... as you can see, i was only eating one piece at a time, so as long as you are satisfied with that then giver.... maybe go for something a little heavier on protein (this was hawaiian, and you can see i was a little under there.

I was pretty surprised it was as even a split as it was too... which is why i decided to eat it for every meal and see how my macros looked.

This was also the Pan crust... I imagine a thin crust would take carbs down even more... and a thicker crust would pump them of course.

My micros are actually not bad either... short on fiber, as you would expect... as well as vitamins and iron, but really... I ate pizza all day.

Usually when I hear pizza, I can imagine tomato sauce ,cheese and dough.
Then possibly a meat or veggie topping.
Its not that hard of a concept unless someone feels the need 2argue about what pizza is .

It usually means - I want to find a way to be difficult and derail the thread.

Op- pizza is awesome and has decent macros ! I enjoy it often! :) ( but I must add , I don't like chain pizza . I want real Italian pizzeria pizza . I'm a pizza snob !)

Technically for weight loss all that matters is if you are in a calorie deficit. The macro breakdown helps with the overall nutritional profile as well as helping with satiety, but it is really a matter of individual preference. People lose on all sorts of macro splits, but if you don't have a medical reason to restrict carbs, it's not required for weight loss.

    TL/DR - enjoy your pizza!

It always boggles my mind that someone can make themselves a lovely roll with meat, cheese and salad and many people consider that a great, healthy meal, but as soon as the bread is round and flat and the meat, cheese and veg are spread out over it, it is the debbil!

Pizza is awesome and can be the perfect meal to hit your macros.

It's not evil, lol. Just had no idea it would tally up that nice. I start to dislike it if I have it to often, but at least once a month... Pizza time! I really like Hawaiian to... Always have.

Well now I'm having pizza for breakfast. Made on a Greek protein flatbread, with sauce, cheese, and meatballs.. 573 calories, 26g of fat, and 56g of protein. I'd say it's a pretty balanced breakfast (granted, if I had used homemade pizza crust it would be 100 more calories and 10g less of protein, but still).
