Sounds like a reasonable challenge!! I know Easter will be here any day now so since I'm just joining in, I'm hoping to start off with 5lbs first....the first 5 is always the hardest for me and then keeping it off is my biggest challenge. Wishing you all luck!!

I don't think it is ever too late to start so here goes...
My journey started in October 2015 when the decision was made to get the weight moving downwards instead of the steady incline up that it has been heading over years! (50kgs or 110pds- weight gain in 20 years is disgusting!)

    Height: 155cm (5'08")
SW - 96.8kg (213) - this was back in October 2015 when I decided to do something about it.
    CW - 85.4kg (188) - weighed this morning (Friday)
    GW - 75kg (165)

Started with Jenny Craig and now doing it myself. Main thing I need to do is get the body moving more...
My goal would be to look like my photo which was taken 10 years ago!
    Good luck everyone.

Not as much loss as I had hoped for, but after my Saturday booze binge, I'll take it. Good things happened this week. I made a well overdue trip to Kohl's for size 12 jeans. My 14s were baggy and needed belts. My hip measurement went down too! I haven't seen 40 inch hips for awhile. Yea!

I am proud of my consistent work at the gym this week. I have also been very good at food tracking and making healthy food choices. This V-Day weekend may be a challenge, but I will try to work a calculated treat into my calorie totals.

Good luck everyone! You are all doing so well! We can do this!

Why is that the doctors office scale is sooooo different from my home scale. I was excited at the number I saw at home..just to be let down at the doctors office. Do anyone else have this problem

I prefer my home weigh-ins to be naked, first thing in the morning after using the bathroom! Gets the best results. Unfortunately I think the doctor's office probably frowns upon this. What we're you wearing? This time of year with bundling up and layers, clothes and shoes weigh a lot. So take that into account! I purposefully try to plan a lightweight outfit when I have a doctor's appointment and know I'll get weighed there!!

Actually went up 0.2 lbs this week. Basically a wash. I've done 2 weeks of Stronglifts 5x5 now, and my optimistic side is that it's muscle gain, but the Chinese food I had at the end of last week tells me it's more likely water retention. Must drink more water this week!!

6 pounds to go!! I'm so happy with this! I feel like I've made changes I can stick with. I'm not ruling out any foods and am not letting myself feel bad about enjoying my favorite foods even if it means I went over calories like I did tonight. It's my husband's birthday, and I made him two delicious meals today and a homemade cheesecake for dessert. I planned ahead and had a pretty decent week so I can live with that! Lost 2 pounds this week after losing nothing this week! I think keeping up with the water is key for me, and what I need to keep remembering!

I would also like to join in! My goal before Easter is 10lbs! I'm new to MFP & I just got a Fitbit. Last year I lost 30lbs on WW but now my hubby wants to lose some weight so I'm supporting him and switching to MFP. Let's do this!

For those of you questioning the scales, I am a RN in a pediatric office and we have to calibrate our scales annually and do a monthly check to ensure accuracy. Now I can't say that for every provider, but I would have to be think it has to be pretty standard. However you are weighing yourself just be sure it's the same time of day, clothing, and scale. Don't be discouraged by the discrepancies :-)

Lost 0.8 this week despite going over calories on Super Bowl Sunday and my birthday, which both happened this week, so over all not bad! I'm getting encouragement from reading a NSV thread on here and it's a great reminder that sometimes the scale doesn't move as much as you'd like, but there are plenty other positives that are happen if you just pay attention
