What's some good tips for losing weight ? I weigh 200 pounds trying to get down to 187

Measure and weigh all your food.
Log everything you eat and drink.
I would say spend at least 2 to 3 days logging everything you eat and be totally honest and then you'll get an idea of what parts of your eating habits you need to change.0 -

so much this. I wish I'd done it in the beginning instead of spending so much energy on being overwhelmed trying to change everything all at once.0 -
You don't have a lot to lose , unless your goal will still have you overweight it may take a little longer , I would set the goal at 1/2 lb a week to make it far easier on you , when you don't need to lose much large cuts can make a pretty easy process downright unpleasant , and it doesn't have to be.
Best advice I ever saw "buy a food scale and weigh everything .0
