I have no reaction. What's the difference if they're right behind me or a mile behind me. They're still behind me.

Since I'm usually 5 to 10 over I slow to the speed limit. Most back off and we resume at my normal speed. But the other day that guy wouldn't back off, jerk almost made me late for work.

I've had semis on passes where all I can read is MACK in my review mirror. I'm doing over 70 and they're supposed to be going 60. I was moving over when I could but within a short while there be another one doing the same thing. A********. But my dad told me what to do with drivers like that next time.

My aunt had a cop tail gate her. She slammed hard on her brakes and he almost hit her. He stormed over to her door and demanded to know why she braked. All she asked was why were you so close that you couldn't safely brake? He got back in to his car and left.

I try to make it easier for a faster drive to pass me - speeding up, moving over, waiting for them to pass before moving into the fast lane, etc. But if they insist on tailing me, then I do none of the above and they better hope there's an opening further ahead where they can pass me later!

In my old car I would suddenly hit my brakes to make them have to react quickly. They would back off quickly after that .

Since I just got a brand new car and don't want it damaged I just try to move over and let them pass .

In car - brake check and or let the pecker heads pass.
On bike - Pull my 357 mag and wink at em.
    357 works EVERY time.

Brilliant. You cant get away with that here (UK)

    ...how about this idea...
If you're in the left lane and just driving the speed limit to be a jerk...move the eff over....that's what the right lane is for...

And if you really must brake check...you need to do it correctly....here's how to do it properly:
    1. If you're on a single lane road, just ease off the gas to slow down...
    2. Continue to do so until you're going maybe 10-15mph
    3. By this time they're flipping mad, and this is when you execute your brake check...
    4. Because of the speed, they're now virtually stopped...and this is when you floor it and leave them wayyyyy behind...

It rarely happens, but when it does I move out of the left lane and into the middle or right lane. It's called courtesy. I'm more concerned with the idiots who insist on driving slowly in the left lane. Or, the ones in reverse on the off ramp. Or the weavers. The dude that just wants to drive fast in the left lane isn't a problem.

Well if a cop see's him he wont get away with it here either.
Worse,,,the other guy may just have one also,,,and you just gave him the reason he needed to shoot you.

Thank you for reminding me why I gave up my membership to the NRA, am anti-open carry, and have become open to more gun control. Too many want-to-be cowboys out there who forgot the 1800s are over, have absolutely no sense of discretion, and never learned about responsible firearms ownership.

I don't react. Maybe they don't realize they are tailgating. I just give people the benefit of the doubt. Besides, most people that I have ridden with that complain about being tailgated actually tailgate themselves but don't know it.

Slow way down. Lecture them sarcastically in the rear-view mirror. Swerve erratically. Speed up. Don't notice. Change lanes.
