The cookies and cream one is fantastic! It has actual chunks of cookies and cream. The other ones have an iffy texture but are good when baked/microwaved.0

May I just note: I found out YESTERDAY that they reformulated and discovered today that the Peanut Butter ones I have are from the new formula. I never would have guessed it before. However, before yesterday I was thinking my memory of them was better and that maybe I had too many and didn't like the flavor anymore. Today, eating one for the first time with this knowledge it made sense. It is sweeter or something. I think I'll retry the other flavors that were not my favorite and see if I like those better. Le sad.0

This is exactly what happened to me. I was buying them and thought it was just my tastes or bad batch or something. I even made a thread on here asking what the issue was but then discovered the change. So disappointing.0 -
up until recently, i loved quest bars - particularly double chocolate chunk and apple pie. but recently there's been a change, and they are less sweet with less flavor and a chemical-y overtone that is unpleasant and that you can smell as well as taste. i emailed quest about this, and they sent me a ticket system link. their ticket system is public (weird!), like a board, and almost all the recent tickets are about the change in taste.
btw, beside making quest bars unpleasant to taste, i'm concerned as none of the ingredients listed should have this taste/smell, which is apparently in all the new bars. yeah, there's natural flavorings, which could taste like just about anything, but i can't see why one would add an icky taste.0 -

To each their own but I tried one of these today, my first Quest bar, and I found it revolting. It tasted nothing like cookies to me, and I could barely finish it (but didn't have anything else to eat so I did). The texture is awful so I think I'm done with Quest bars.

I get my best deals on them on ebay. I like them I have severe allergies though so my diet is limited.0

I tried one based on this thread; here's my "review". I bought the white chocolate and raspberry version.
Pros: excellent taste, better than other protein bars I've tried (they blow the hideous Clif bars away); provides good quantities of fiber and protein.
Cons: like many protein bars I've tried, has the consistency of modeling clay; has a bit of a chalky or grainy mouth feel when you're eating it; overly sweet for my taste, to the point of being cloying; a lingering sweet aftertaste in the mouth (I think that's the monk fruit).
I'll probably try another flavor or two to see how they compare. If you like *really* sweet things, you might like these. If you like your sweet treats more toned down, this might be a bit much for you (as they are for me).0 -
I love them for a snack through the day.0

I LOVE them! The cookies and cream is so delicious and they fill me up a lot. I'm trying to increase my protein intake and they help a lot with that too. The cookie dough one tastes like complete and utter garbage though xx0

I like them, but just recently decided to stop buying them and eat more real food that doesn't have the artificial sweeteners. Some of them do have an aftertaste.0

Quest bars are horrible in my opinion. They have a weird flavor and aftertaste. I really like Larabars. They come in a variety of flavors, are made from all natural ingredients and have no artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners. Larabars are vegan, gluten free, soy free and kosher.0

And have half the protein or less as a Quest bar on average, so if you're eating a protein bar for the protein they're not a top choice.0
