Don't be impatient. You didn't gain the weight overnight and you won't lose it overnight either.0
-
Don't designate *forbidden foods* , will just lead to disappointment.0
-
Don't have unrealistic expectations.0
-
Don't give up.0
-
Don't take one bad decision as permission/a reason to make a whole bunch more bad decisions
Don't listen to people who tell you you need to spend money on special products to lose weight
Don't believe things that seem too good to be true
Don't make it a miserable process
Don't forget that the scale weight is only a small element - your good decisions do far more good for your body than just reducing it's overall weight0 -
Don't rely on others to support your dietary needs. (DO carry protein drinks, an apple, or whatever, so that if there's not something available that fits your needs, you have it on hand.)0
-
Don't let people tell you that there is only one right way to eat! (Low Carb, Low Fat, Paleo, Clean Eating, fasting, etc). A calorie deficit is all that's needed to lose weight. Each person has to find the combination of foods that allow them to meet this goal, stay healthy, and stay satisfied enough to maintain it for life.0

- Don't ban foods you enjoy unless you have a medical reason.
- Don't starve yourself.
- Don't do cleanses and detoxes, body wraps, or take pills that promise weight loss.
- Don't compare your results to someone else's just because you have similar stats; every body is different.
- Don't have unrealistic expectations.
- Don't fight your body when it's truly trying to tell you it's tired/hungry.
- Don't give up.

Hahaha yup, there's not enough hours in the day for me to out-exercise a no-holds-barred trip to all-you-can-eat pizza.0 -

Don't forget to love yourself while you're getting to the weight you want to be.0

Don't think weightloss will give you to the body you have been idolizing in the magazines.
Don't think fast weightloss is good weightloss - there is a reason why shows like "the biggest loser" have ambulances and medical staff present all the time (always waiting just out of camera frame).
Don't think of foods as good or bad.
Don't think anyone apart from yourself is in your way to your goal weight.
Don't give up, even on the hardest parts.
Don't think that a bad day will ruin your entire progress.
Don't think that "dieting" is something you do for 2 months until the "bad naughty fat" is gone.

Don't expect it to be easy.
Don't expect a lack of consistency to give you consistent weight loss every week.

DON'T believe the woo of the diet/supplement industry.0
-
When in doubt, if you're consistent and work really hard and nothing is working, see a doctor (naturopath is my preference) to see if there is something you don't even know is affecting your success.0
-
Dont be afraid of sugar replacements. They make fitting sweets into your day alot easier.0

All of these.0 -
Don't wait for motivation. Set a plan, establish good habits, then do it regardless of how you feel.0
-
Don't be afraid of doing what you know is best for you because you think it may look funny or someone may something negative.
Don't let the opinions of others keep you from doing what you need to do.0 -
Don't be pressured into eating something you don't want. Just say "No thank you, I'm trying to eat healthy."
Great list of "don't's" everybody!0 -
Relax and let it go when others are around. Don't give up your holidays. Be strict when no one else is watching. This isn't about anyone else than you. Drive your hardest when you don't want to.0
-
Don't have unrealistic expectations
Don't be impatient
Don't let a bad day(s) make you throw your hand up in the air0 -
Don't expect losing weight to solve all of your problems. And don't wait until you lose the weight to start having fun enjoying life!!0
-
Don't deny yourself the foods you love. Everything in moderation works for me.
Well, except Snickers.0 -
Don't get overly discouraged when you hit an inevitable plateau in your weight loss. Keep at it, the pounds will start coming off again.0

Don't feel like you should suffer for getting fat and
Don't make yourself miserable while losing weight
Don't forget that this is your life. Only you can decide what sort of routine you can live with.
Don't get upset if nobody says anything about your weight loss for a long while, Nobody said anything to me until I'd lost 40 pounds. Most times they're worried of saying the wrong thing.
Don't make any changes to your diet that you don't plan on sticking to long-term. Losing weight one way and then changing once you hit maintenance makes for a difficult maintenance.
Don't forget that all activity is good. It doesn't matter if it's actual "exercise". Just being active around the house, yard, neighborhood, at work...all of that makes a big difference in your calories spent during the day.
Don't forget to pat yourself on the back when you do well. Every time you stick to your goals or go to the gym when you didn't want to...you deserve to feel good about yourself. Remember to mentally congratulate yourself on the little things.
Don't feel bad if you have days when you just don't feel motivated. Eating at maintenance for a day or to to regroup isn't the end of the world. Just be sure to log it.
Don't give up. Take as long as you need to. Take detours and vacations. Just don't quit on yourself. There is no deadline, so only you will know if you've quit. As long as you're still trying, you're still winning.
Best advice ever!!0 -
Don't weight everyday0
-
Don't overcomplicate things
Don't make arbitrary rules
Don't believe anything you read or watch without going back to the original science, even then don't blindly accept it
