    Thanks Rhiannon for starting this. I'm usually on it early because I get up at 4:45AM on Tues and Wed. I need to do all week to work out in the mornings.:laugh:

    I had a loss this week. YAY!!!:drinker: :drinker: :drinker: I lost 3.5 lbs this week!!!!

    My :heart: for the day: I loved that I got up and worked out this morning and got it done and over with. And I still love how motivated I am right now.

    I have to work today, so I won't be on nagging everyone about what their love for themselves is today. I meant to come on last night and post my foods and stuff, but didn't get around to it.... So today, I have two loves... First, I love my sense of humor. I enjoy laughing, and making other people laugh. Second, I love the way I can stretch my budget to fit what we need to get. It isn't as if money is tight, but I have a budget of 400 a month for groceries for our family of 6, and I generally stick within it. lol... My hubby went shopping a week ago and just upped my budget to 500, because he realized how much groceries had gone up.

    Saw a loss of 1.5 lbs this week. The other day, I was down even more, but well, we all know about fluctuations, don't we? It will be nice to finally (someday) break below the 190's and hit the 180's. Seems as if I've been hovering here for over a month now... But maintaining through the holidays was a good thing too... Because it wasn't a gain!

    Hey Ladies..
    Sorry Ive been MIA..So much going on! I did join the YMCA here last week, and have been working out there. I did a cardio class that was a blast yesterday! My daughter is at her father's new place until Friday, maybe longer. First time I have EVER been so long without her. So weird, and so quiet around my place :frown:

    Great job on losses so far Robin and Shanell!!

    I am sad to report..No loss this week..and not only that, I have actually GAINED..but I believe it is due to the recent start of weight training again and the fact I am on my time of the month and really bloated. Im up to 175.0 lbs..which is a gain of 2.2lbs since last week. Im not going to modify my ticker yet, I want to give it to Friday to flucuate down again- just this past Saturday I was down to 172.0 so Im not believing I gained 3lbs in 3 days lol. Its all good :happy:

    What I love about myself this week...that I am really open-minded. I *try* not to judge before I am familiar with something/one..As I get older, mature more I am finding myself to be more open-minded and tolerant and less judgemental. I really embrace that about myself :smile:

    I miss you ladies and am browsing through every few days- Just not enough time to post personals!! I hope everyone has a great week and a great weigh in!!

    i gained today.... .4 .....that's ok with me...in a mood today. tried to make me steel cut oats for breakfast and they went all over the place in the microwave. yes, i used a large bowl. so now tying on the stove, see what happens. if this don't work bagel here i come.

    katy sorry to hear about your gain. yup the weights and time of month can do it to you....

    Good morning my ladies! I am here!!! Went to the gym last night even though work closed early due to the snow and bad wind! So...YAY! Then home and made some spaghetti for dinner. And my husband and I were lazy on the couch! Today...not sure about a workout...it is SO freakin' cold outside! I will just have to see what the day brings!

    Today I LOVE that I have such a good relationship with my husband! He is the only thing that keeps me going sometimes, and he can ALWAYS make me laugh! We were friends for years before we started dating which gives us such an advantage, I think, over other relationships! And I LOVE that!

    Well...have a FABULOUS day my girlies! And I'll BBL!!! And thanks for starting this thread Rhiannon!

    I havent been on much the past few days but now I will get back on track. I swear I dont have a job but I stay so busy with the kids all the time. Between watching my little girl 24/7 and basketball and cub scouts with the boys. I am missing out on my work out classes this week. I hate this. The rec center better hurry up and hire someone for the kid n play so I can go back to class. I have no one to watch my little one.

    bumping so the newbies can find the new thread.
    i just got off the treadmill (at home) tried to burn off some anger didn't work much. needed to keep going, but, just tired and cranky, getting lunch time, making a pita pizza w/tuna and cheese. DH is suppose to be making me some flat bread today so i can make some flat bread sandwiches. found a recipe were it's only 40 cals and little carbs.

    Another week with a gain. Honestly I am really working on getting back into the groove of losing weight. Even though I am feeling a bit annoyed with myself and this gain, I am not giving up. :heart: What I love about myself this week is that I am tenacious:I do not give up when I really want something. :heart: . :heart:

    Good morning!! Well, I drank so little water yesterday that weighing in today would have been useless so I'm using yesterday's weight and I'll hope to see a more accurate number next week! Congrats on losses and for the gains, just keep on plugging away.

    Good morning fellow Sixers!

    Not much time to chat but wanted to check in. it is one of my goals to keep up on this.

    I , like Pedal, have swollen hands and all I can figure is a little extra PMS or the sudden intense workout. I took last night off from the gym but will be back at it tonight.

    Hello all... been a long rough week. Been getting ready for the Biggest loser challenge at work and work itself has been outta control. Plus we just found out a co-worker has cancer. MY GOD I can't tell you how that breaks my heart.
    Eating not so great and TOM is killing me - I didn't get my water in yesterday.. so I only showed a loss of .02 on the scale. I have been getting my work outs in so I hope that next week is better. I hope you all have a blessed and safe day.

    Absolutely! We check in on Tuesdays with weight and we also start a new thread for the week. The goal is to lose between 15% and 20% of your remaining weight (or whatever goal you want to set out for yourself!). This is a 6 week challenge and we've just begun week 2. Some people also choose to unofficially check in on Fridays. We try to plan out and post our meals for the day and since this challenge ends just after Valentine's Day we are also trying to post something we love about ourselves each day.     I've been off in my own little word.
    Emotionally binge eating.
    Not feeling like posting here.
    Not watching what I eat.
    Somehow I've dropped 1.5lbs since I weighed in last.
    Maybe it's all the running I'm doing, or attempting.
    I eat my pain and run away through my pain.
    I'm working on the NOT eating my pain part.

    Hi All-
    My name is Katie and I am 28 years old and I live in Iowa. I am married and have two children, ages 8 and 6. I am still getting used to being the "fat friend" and though I blame my weight gains on pregnancies (lol) I currently weigh more than I did during either of my pregnancies. UGH! I am finally sick of it. I will be starting a Live Healthy Iowa challenge tomorrow (1/14) with a team of 8 people. But I am loving this group and the motivation and accountability it provides. My true goal weight is 130 lbs, but the goal I listed above is challenge specific, I hope that is correct. Thanks for letting me join ladies. I am so excited!

    :heart: :heart: Today I love about myself that I was super happy when I went into work. I shoveled snow for about 10 minutes this morning and was still happy ;).

    Tammara - thanks for the encouragement. My mom is feeling much better and the root canal went okay. Still pretty numb though so hopefully when that wears off there isn't too much pain! nice to know I have a dentist around to prep me for these kinds of things!! :happy:

    I live in Iowa. I moved here from Tennessee a little over a year ago because of my husband's job. Yeah, this girl didn't even know what a snow shovel was before I moved here and now, I am shoveling A LOT! So did you have lots of snow as well?

    Evening ladies! Great to see some more losses today!! :drinker:

    My day was okay... I forgot my HRM for my work out tonight so I don't know where I actually stand, but I stayed on track for food other than finishing a 2" piece of my son's almond butter & honey sandwich and two big bites of his whole wheat pasta. Great work out and we went for a family swim after although with them being so young it's really just us lying in the little pool while they splash around :tongue: I actually drank a decent amount of water today but still not enough. I've got a LOT on my plate the next while and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed but we all know that staying on point with our nutrition and exercise make the other things EASIER to manage so I need to disallow myself seeing any aspect of my health as burdensome. Even if it's just water.

    Robin, thanks for the love aspect of this challenge... it does help! Today I love about myself the fact that I know how to reach out socially and make friends and get to know people. I don't feel at all awkward with it. This is brought to my attention through the fact that I'm getting to know people at my gym these days. At least by name :happy:

    Well, early bed time tonight!! I may not be on until later tomorrow but I'll get here!! Oh and Lauryn, HUGS!!

    morning ladies....
    already went to the gym and did workout. found another cool machine/exercise today. you are up on your forearms and hanging and lift your legs up to your chest. works the abs. i have always seen people do it, i thought i would in no way be able to do it. i did 2 reps of 10 each. surprise. felt it and made me feel good. when i can feel a machine it makes me feel good. don't know why......i am hoping for sore abs in the morning, than i know i did it right and it worked.

    went with shanell to a mary kay party last night. thinking about selling it. i don't do the party thing, but, i can do internet and leave books. have to talk to DH about it.

    real cold here this morning. car door frozen shut @ 7:45 this morning. surprised, we don't get this cold, suppose to be in the low teens tomorrow night and friday.

    i have to have my adrenal gland and cortisol tested tomorrow. it's an hour test. doctor said he would be surprised if it came back abnormal, but, he just wants to rule it out, i am still getting dizzy.i have such bad vains hope they get a good one and can keep it flowing..

    well, off to do my daily chores, and take a shower and dress in warm clothes.
    my love for today is i wasn't afraid to try a new exercise at the gym (helps i was the only one in the 24 hrs this morning haha)

    Hello Ladies! What a COLD day it is, it is like 5 below right now, 26 below with windchill. So much SNOW. Well, I thought I would check in and give my :heart: for the day, which is that I got in my water, with no trouble, both yesterday and today and I feel great!!! Also, I thought I would lay out my meals for you.

    B-I had a banana and a small cappucino
    L-6" turkey breast sub and one bag baked lays (barbecue)
    I did get the tiniest bit of light mayo and sweet onion sauce. I LOVE that sauce and it is fat free!

    No snacks so far and still not sure what we are doing for dinner tonight.

    Oh, one more thing.....

    I L:heart: VE that there was birthday cake at work today and I SO DID NOT have ANY, not even a lick!!! Yay!!! Have a fabulous evening ladies.
