What an inspirational story! Thank you so much for sharing.
I am a size 24 right now myself but am looking forward to being able to buy smaller clothes. Was it hard for you to stay motivated? That's my biggest problem right now.
    Thanks again for sharing!

Wow, well done. Your 'I can and I did' attitude shows all those 'I cannot and I will not's' in the world what hard work and determination can do :) Good luck in reaching your goal and congratulations on turning your life around.

You are so positive, so encouraging, and so courageous! So many people would be afraid to make that first step to losing that much weight, and decide that this is just how they're meant to be. But you are amazing... you took that first step (and many more after it) and are now a changed person! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey :-) It has been a very inspiring one!

    Aww.. Thank you Ashlee:heart:

So Glad you have been a part of my weightloss Journey!!! Everyone single one of my MFP Buddies are my inspiration every morning when I get up... I love to read everyone's post((even though I may not comment on them all)) I read every single one of them ((most days)) Like I have said My biggest fan went to Heaven 15 days ago.. ((my grandma)) but I have a wonderful support group right here , plus now in Heaven.. {{Big hugs }} Ashlee:heart:

    Wow, that's amazing!

I can relate, I got up to my highest at 302; and am just getting started. I think where MFP works the best for me, is in the ability to track what I eat. I got this big by simply eating whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted it - without a thought to the sheer volume of calories I was consuming. I mean, I had to be eating 4,000 to 6,000 calories a day; and the weight kept going up and up.

When I did a diet; I would lose 20 or so pounds; then drop the diet because I was sacrificing something. Like the Atkins diet; lots of meat, veggies, cheese and no carbs. But, if you go visit relatives, or take a vacation - this diet is almost impossible to maintain - and you are denying yourself so much.

Where the MFP diet is simple. I budget my calories. If I want my treat tonight (carmel popcorn, cake, whatever) that means I have to cut the calories out in another meal, and/or exercise.

So far, I have a pitiful 13 lbs gone - but I'm determined; and stories like yours keep me motivated. It won't be fast; I'm planning on a 5-6lb per month loss. I want my skin to shrink with my fat. I already have my new wardrobe; as I used to have nice clothes when I was thinner - and men's fashions just don't change quickly.

So, I really appreciate hearing your story. Thanks

WAY TO GO! this is my first day on here, and i already see someone who was at about my starting weight, and ends at about my goal weight. and just to see that someone else can do it, it's a big reassurance that i, and anyone else with weight loss goals can do it. THANK YOU!

Great account of your adventure. Very inspiring. It is amazing how the whole package comes together and the best benefits are our mental and spiritual health. It is also crazy how many of us have known that from past experiences but yet went on making poor choices. I am glad to be on track along with all of you my brothers and sisters to get things right and complete the transforamtion before us.
Great story. Keep up the amazing work. I am going to drive on hard too.

Teach me your ways!!! I need to lose 105 to meet my goal weight, and I've just started. What did you do to lose so fast?

Great to have you all as part of my MFP family:wink:

Well I have been been on a 1200-1300 calorie diet since the beginning.. And usually 3 times a month I try and "shock" my body by having a lil bad in my diet .. AKA.. ((cheat day)) "like zaxby's" my favorite.. just give's your body a lil wakeup every once in a while..

I workout 6 days a week for at least 2-3 hrs every morning, I get up about 4:30 so my babies are still sleeping.. I change up my routine daily except with the video workout I may be using at the time.. that's a constant until it ends.. ((right now it's boot camp "biggest loser"))
I also use elliptical/stepper, Ifit Treadmill w/shoxs, boxing/punching bag.. then I do some strenghtening with a weight machine/loose weights.. Jumping jacks, squats and situps are some of my favorites to do thru out the day randomly..

(Just so you know us chunky monkey's can have loose skin but here is my secret I have learned and it works)
Ok.. loose skin:::: well I was very scared about that and yes I still have some, but I have also had 3 babies so it's not all going to go away.. the secret is to not let it be to bad is to buy yourself a spanks a size smaller than you are to help suck in your loose skin while exercising.. "it works" it's like tightening your muscles for you instead of sitting there trying to suck your gut in the whole time during your workout... you will notice a big difference within the first 2 weeks:wink:

Hope it helps you out feel free to write me anytime and I will try to help.. But thanks again to you all for Joining my MFP family... We Rock!!!!

Always Remember: "Believe in yourself and know that you'll cross the finish line. No one can want it bad enough for you. You have to want it for yourself and you have to want it more than anything."

    Your friend,
    ~Rachel~
