If I had a diet root beer I would want ice cream with that! A diet ginger ale is only missing the Jack Daniels. :-)0

Bottom line, listen to your body and do what's right for you. There's no magic formula for this. If it was easy, we'd all be healthy, skinny, and not having this conversation.

There's quite a few things that work the same for everyone. Gravity for example. The laws of physics as a whole.0 -
I just wanted to add that OP said they drink 4 or 5 cans PER WEEK. There is clearly no danger of this small amount displacing drinking water or having whatever dire effects chemikillz might want to cause.
OP, I drink about the same amount, and often have one INSTEAD of a snack when I'm bored-hungry but don't have the calories left. I've been maintaining fine.
And my favorite is Diet Dr. Pepper. Hmmm, that would taste good in a vanilla ice cream float too0
