Does any one knows what are side effects of using Aspartame instead of sugar in tea etc. As i read on net that its not good for health but its passed by FDA due to pressure exerted by Rich Food companies.

There is nothing wrong with aspartame.
Some people get headaches from it, or might want to eat more sweets. That's pretty much all.0 -
I believe there's a thread on here that debunks the "evil aspartame" myth.
You can read a lot of things on the internet.0 -
Aspartame can trigger migraines in some people. For almost everyone else, here's the thread @misskarne was referencing: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1308408/why-aspartame-isnt-scary0

It's one of the most studied additives on the market. And with the exception of a few people (PKU), in general it's fine to consume in moderation. I've been drinking diet soda for over 25 years with no ill effects that are claimed by "health" sites.

Side effects known are headache, dizziness, change in mood, vomiting or nausea, abdominal pain and cramps, change in vision, diarrhea, seizures/convulsions, memory loss, and fatigue. There has been some concerns about aspartame and cancer. From something I read on NCI (national cancer institute) the jury is still out.0

You may want to consider using a more natural sweetener like Stevia instead of processed sugar.0

Pretty much all the anti-aspartame stuff I have seen is anectodal evidence about someone stopping their 7 diet soda a day habit and starting to feel better. I haven't seen a lot of things about people having issues with aspartame in yogurt or other things. I drink some diet soda and the ingredient list is pretty extensive. I know I feel less good if I overindulge in it. I feel much better when I drink more water. I don't think it is just the aspartame doing it. It happens with any diet soda, whether it is aspartame or another diet sweetener. Moderation is a good thing in anything.0

Unless you are a phenylketonuric there is little need to worry about aspertame.0

I don't use artificial sweeteners because I think they taste nasty.

I've been using aspartame since I can remember. Probably 30 years. 8 packets per coffee, 3 coffees per day. No side effects. I think with artificial sweeteners it's a personal preference, but I do get migraines from Splenda.0

Wow, you really like your coffee sweet!
I use artificial sweeteners without any qualms, particularly in soft drinks as I don't like to drink my calories. But I only use about 1/3 of a packet in my coffee, I just need a hint of sweetness - I do the same with packets of sugar. 8 packets sounds unthinkably sweet!0
