Back in my day, $10.00 bought me and my girlfriend dinner (At the local smorgasbord), gas for cruising 'til about 10:30 PM and a root beer at XXX Drive In on the way home.
Even further back in my day, $1.00 got you two bus tokens (10 cents each way), into the monster matinee (25 cents), a candy bar (10 cents) and a soda (15 cents) and I had to give my mother back the left over change!1 -
Back in my day babysitters were 50 cents an hour.0
