so are you going to call him or what?
I'd call him. But then I have a thing for handcuffs and power exchange.
Nonetheless, it's a bit of an abuse of authority, but I wouldn't report it, as I haven't reported mild incidences of sexual harassment that I've experienced.
If the officer made clear some quid pro quo was expected in exchange for not writing the ticket, then I'd report it. To a non-emergency number.

He gave you his number and that's violating your privacy? How does that work?
Would you be asking about a waitress or female officer who did the same thing? Just asking again since those questions were asked and I didn't see the answer
But the cop also looked at his drivers license and got his name and address first before he gave him his own phone number.
Like every other cop who stops a driver does?
But does every other cop hit on the person they pull over?
I must just have a really peculiar idea of how privacy works. Whether or not they hit on you, they've got the info. I thought privacy was generally about protecting my own info, to begin with
No, you're not wrong. They all have that info. I just guess if they take it a step further by hitting on you, there's possibly just a touch more cause for concern.
But, when the police ask for your drivers license and registration, you gotta show 'em or end up in a car chase on tv.0 -
Should I just call him up right now? It's Sunday afternoon and I'm kinda bored.1

Call him and tell us what happened. It's Monday morning here in Australia and I don't want to work too much anyway ;P0

Wish the cop that gave me a ticket had been so easy going0
