Calvin is not the only one.

    Better safe than sorry.

Sacrifice one for the greater good.

Sharks are less common in bathtubs than piranhas but either way...

My son Chad told my grandson that he (Chad) wrote a book with all of the knowledge in the world. Now my grandson thinks his Uncle Chad is the smartest man in the world. He tells all of his friends that his Uncle Chad knows everything (because Uncle Chad told my grandson that). Chad tells my grandson the most outrageous c**p ever and my grandson believes him! Ah, to be young and naive again!

My oldest grandson is 9 now, and generally just rolls his eyes at my made up wisdom.

I love a cartoon that uses the phrase, "Conjectural moral question"!

Indeed… particularly since Calvin is tacitly 6 years old…

True story: When she was in grade 1, at Hallowe'en, my daughter and her classmates made cutout pictures as an arts & crafts project. My daughter (along with several others) made bats. When the teacher asked the kids to give their creations a name, my daughter (age 6) asked for help in spelling the name she chose… "Echo Location"

I seem to vaguely remember a similar strip which I think was also Calvin & Hobbes - they are making wishes, and one wishes for a sandwich while the other wants riches etc. A couple of frames later, the sandwich-eating one says "Well, I got MY wish..."

Has anyone seen the Star Wars version of Calvin and Hobbes? I have no idea how to post one on here.. but they're pretty funny. I grew up with one Calvin and Hobbes book and it was completely worn by the time I was a teenager. Love these guys.

My daughter sent a bunch of them to me. I think I posted a few earlier in the thread.

In the menu bar directly above where you type in your replies, there are a series of options including a black rectangle with one corner folded over. If you click on that icon, it opens a drop menu which allows you to either upload an image OR to use the URL of an image hosted elsewhere.

If you've seen an image you'll like to add on another website, right-click on the image and select "Copy Image Address" then come to MFP, click on the image drop menu and right-click on the text "Image URL" and select "Paste" which should load the image's URL (aka address) for you.
