You didn't have too, you clearly got by on your looks0 -
I don't see how you married ones can "get away with flirting" or make it a game or something fun...I'm a major flirt, I don't do it intentionally... But I have 2 kids, not married but I am in a relationship, I honestly think flirting is fun. Its a confidence booster. And its always good to meet new people! But my man totally disapproves!!!1

I was eating lunch at the bar at Chilis the other day and a random waitress (not mine) approached me, lingered around a sec, then told me "I'm bored, I usually do things to get in trouble when I'm bored".
Was she flirting with me? If she was, how should I have responded? I would have totally served this girl but have no game.
She came on strong, damn near panties falling off. How you respond- well there's only so much trouble you can get into on the job here's my number if you'd like to go for drinks after work sometime I make a great partner in crime (wink at her)- make sure you mention her beautiful smile and sound like you've never been shot down in your life even when you're *kitten* your pants. Women are programed to like confidence.1 -
Awkwards me out, honestly. I just go "okayyyy...." and move on.
(Almost typoed in o.o BAD BAD "smart phones").0 -

Wow this post has gone farther than i initially thought0

I'm extremely friendly, and a lot of people mistake that for flirting. I'm a very hands on person, I will touch your arm while talking, or put my hand on your back while squeezing to get behind you.0

One time some guy who came to my work went upt to the register to talk to me and we talked for like an hour while i was working and he kept asking me what time i got off and what i was gonna do later tonight it wasnt till he left and my brother came up to me and said "you, doo kno that guy was trying to ask you out right? You guys where flirting for like an hour" that i was like ooooooh!0

No, subtlety is wasted on me and directness just gets rejected.0

You sound fun.
I have trouble with social cues - which makes for some pretty funny stories about when I THOUGHT I was being flirted with but I was wrong.2 -
I think most people do enjoy it. When I do recognize it, yeah, it feels good. It's like ego massage....For the most part, though I have a hard time recognizing a flirt, even though I enjoy flirting....A woman would pretty much have to ask me for sex before I would recognize it...lol...cry0

I invented social awkwardness, so...I get it. As for those stories...OMG, I can't even. You really should share.
Someday there will be a thread and I will consider contributing.

Why is it men say that they are usually not sure that they are being flirted with? Just curious.
I think some guys are very humbled and/or maybe have low self esteem and have no clue how smart, sexy, and cool they are to some women. So they are unsure. Some women on the other hand know when they have sex appeal etc. and pick up on pick up lines, gestures etc. Also sometimes we can send mixed messages and they may not know when we are just being friendly or flirting or both lol.0 -
Still yes, though I usually have no clue.0

Definitely makes you feel better. Nothing wrong with it. I enjoy it0
