Fantastic I know the weekends are always tough so let's support each other. What's your weakness at weekend?

But it's Mother's Day! Trying to bank calories for Sunday though... so it's really no cheat.

It's my brother's leaving party tonight, so even though I want to eat well I know it's going to be hard!

Cheat on what? I'm not playing any games and don't plan on cheating on my husband.....
I might eat more than my calorie goal today or tomorrow, but that's just eating not cheating.
    Exactly. ;)
    maintenance days, ftw!

Edit: Please explain this 'cheating'. Is it when you go over calories with the foods you've cut out? I eat any foods that I like, and sometimes I go up to my maintenance calories so I guess I don't quite follow.

To clarify what I meant by no cheat weekend was to not cheat on your goals so if your goals is to drink 8 litres of water a day don't drink 5, if it's to exercise twice don't exercise once! Personalised goals that you don't want to cheat on this weekend.

I like your definition! To me, cheating would be eating with no plan at all and no logging. I haven't done that in over 400 days and don't plan on doing it this weekend. I'm not saying I don't sometimes eat more than planned or sometimes just overeat because I want to, but I always log and have a plan.

Apparently you drink 4 glasses of water instead of 8 or you exercise once, not twice.
Because if you planned to drink 8 glasses and you only drink 4, then the consequence will be...... ummm I don't know, but clearly thats cheating and that's bad and you have to do something to make up for it?

OP, I am trying to see where you are coming from, I do get that it's a good idea to make a plan for how you want to get healthier, and then stick to it.

But, if something changes, to call it cheating (and then presumably have to post on the forums on Monday saying "oh no I ate some cheesecake, my weight loss plan is RUINED!") just makes it a much bigger deal that it needs to be, and I feel as though it just feeds into this all-or-nothing mindset that doesn't seem a healthy way to get good results for the long term.
I guess I'm just not a fan of extremism in any form.

OP you used one of the verboten words on MFP. Prepare for "helpful questions" that are meant to passive aggressively tell you that your choice of words is wrong despite the fact that everyone knows what you mean.

I gotta stay on track this weekend and not eat over my calorie limit so I can relax for the next two weekends when I'm visiting friends (:

I'm in! I'm going to the beach in two weeks, so there's no room for error on the weekends anymore-they are my biggest weakness!
