    Lift, lift, and then keep lifting!

    I think what's really most important in the beginning is finding something you like because then it's way easier to do it. For me, that was lifting. There's something about it that, for me, isn't as mentally daunting as steady state cardio - or really any kind of cardio. I mean, I do that now too, but it's the weights that really get me to the gym.

    The best exercise is the one that you enjoy, that you have time and energy to do and that you will be able to sustain. I have to run for my job so I run a couple of times a week. I love doing Zumba and spin classes because they burn a lot and I like the music.

    You can lose weight without doing a stitch of exercise.

    Exercise is for overall health of your body.

    As far as weight loss is concerned it won't matter that you exercise every day if you are eating too much. Your body will be healthier, but you won't lose weight.

    Just wanted to clarify the point.
