You're welcome. :) It came from Oxygen magazine. I've made them a few times and love them. It's easy on the stomach before working out. Very filling too. I don't spread the pb on top. I plugged in the info into MFP and when you cut it into 9 pieces it's more like 180-190 calories per bar.

Can you provide the nutrients per serving for the 9 pieces??

I used almond butter... added 1 tbsp splenda and about 1 1/2 tsp of cinnamon.

How would the calories change if I used light peanut butter (Kraft) instead of natural peanut butter?
    Thanks,
    Janet
  • Do you think this would still work with Better'n Peanut Butter since the consistency is a bit different than real PB?

Sounds good! I would like to have these nights after my cardio JiuJitsu work outs and when I fence. I have everything on hand put the flax seeds. Think I can make them without them?

How did it taste without the flax seeds? I dont have flax seeds on hand either.

    Bump. Sounds yummy :)
  • If you use Kraft light pb you they just add sugar to replace the fat, fat in pb is good for you. You have to watch many of the light products as that's what they do so you end up with more carbs. Natural pb is so much better for you.
