What is your goal weight and why?

Mine is in my signature
I picked it because it seems reasonable and is right in the middle of where I "should" be for my height. I'll accept anything in the 130's as long as I'm happy with how I look and feel.0 -
My goal is 120-150. Basically, when I get to 150, I'm to reevaluate and see where I'm at and where I'd like to be. My main reasons for trying to get fit are to avoid diabetes, and to control my asthma. And of course, be hot
Currently, I'm 5'3 1/2"0 -
I'm 5'6", currently 132-134 lbs. I'm in the low 20's for my body fat % and I'd like to bring that down to 18%. That should put me around 130 lbs, maybe a bit less. Or maybe a bit more, if I add a significant amount of muscle mass...that's OK with me, because I want more visible muscle.
Why? I want to be stronger, faster, and have better looking abs (in that order).0 -
I know someone is going to laugh at this, but my goal weight it of a couple anime characters I like.
They are around my height, and the goal weight seems reasonable. :drinker:
If anyone is curious who I am talking about it would be: Taiga from Toradora and Shana from Shakugan no Shana. とらどらとしゃくがんのしゃなが大大大好きです。
Also, I used to be 100 pounds whilst also eating a LOT of candy and drinking a LOT of milk only a couple years ago..so I would like to eat healthier by cutting out the candy and large portions of dairy...thus, I think 90 pounds or even less could easily work Of course, I'll decide as i go along when I am good to go.0 -
I'm 5'9" and my current goal weight is 170. It is still considered overweight for my height, but I have a "strong/tall frame" or whatever they call it so I think 170 would suit me well.0

I'm 5'4 and I would like to be between 110-120 lbs. I've been down to that range in college and it looked great on my body. I have a naturally small frame that looks good at that weight. So I'd like to return to that range if possible!0

I am 5'7 and currently 11st 3. Using the BMI scale a healthy weight for me is about 9st 7.
I was 9st, Nine years ago when i fell pregnant with my little boy. I would love to get back to near where I was so I think 9 and a half is ok. It is just under 2 stone to lose.0 -
I'm 5ft10 and my goal weight is 74.9 kg/165 pounds,because that's a healthy BMI (23.9) and because I've been that weight before.0

My goal weight is 130 (though when I reach that I may try for 125). I think I look good at those weights (I have a larger chest so too skinny and I look lopsided). I'm 5'4.5 inches.0

OK....BMI? Scary stuff there! I just want to be in a size 10 again!0

I originally wanted to get back to my high school weight (135 @ 5'9"), but after my last trip to the doctor where my lean mass was calculated at 145lbs, I changed my goal to 150 instead. Once I get there, I'll decide if I want to try for 135 still or not.0

I am 5'8" and goal weight is 65kg (or roughly 143 lbs).
This is based on my healthy and happy weight from many years ago, and before I gave birth, so I thought it may be slightly unrealistic.
Given that I'm almost there with a current weight of 149 lbs or 68kg, I think I aimed right. Both my current weight and goal weight are within healthy BMI.
Once I reach my goal weight I understand that it is very likely to fluctuate + or - a few lbs throughout each month (female)
Oh, and my reasons for dropping weight are mostly aesthetic, so I can fit my clothes better. My reasons for getting fit are to be active with my young and energetic son, and to be as healthy as I can be into my latter years.0 -
I'm 5'9.5" and my goal weight is between 175 - 182. The 175 was what I decided when I first started losing weight when I weighted 320, the 182 is the weight my doctor gave me after some calculations. I have been stuck between 185 -188 for about 6 months going up and down....if I could hit the 182 mark I would be so happy even though you probably can't look at me and tell the difference between 182 and 186. It's a mental thing.0

I'm 5'5 and my goal weight is 125. Why? Well for one it's a super nice round number. But my sister is just a little shorter than I am and is about 115 when she feels her best. So to account for height difference, I added 10 lbs to where her goal is and I rolled with that. I'm down from 212 originally, so I'm coming up on it! This last 20-ish lbs is SUPER HARD!0

Goal weight: 135-140 lbs.
Why? I looked like this: \/ \/ \/ \/ \/
fyi... that puts me at the VERY high end of a "healthy" BMI at my height. BMI was designed to study populations, not individuals.0 -
I don't really have a goal "weight" exactly, though I would love to get to 110. I was 103 in high school, but if I can fit into my size zeros again I'll be more than happy, even if I'm more than 110. I'm down to a 3 so I'm almost there!!!!0

5'10", goal weight of 150 lbs. Should put me right around 12%...0

180, for two reasons:
a) that's as heavy as I can be and have a normal BMI (that would put me at like 24, I think)
b) that's what I weighed in college.
I will say this though, it's more of a guideline. I dont think BMI calculator estimates are the end-all/be-all of weight loss....at least not for me. I have a fairly large frame0
