Feel free to add me, I just came back to MVP yesterday. I have gained and lost more weight over the years than I can count. I am now 47 years old and 2016 has been a mental and physical journey for me. I am now coming from a more positive place than I've ever been and I think that's the key. I've lost 31 pounds and have 66 more to go, but I look at it in 5 pound goals. I'd love to chat with new friends and hear what works for them and share what helps me.

Hi I'm 49yrs and I originally lost 105lbs kept it off 2 years then new job stress and my mother dying got me depressed and back to binge eating gained 60lbs back. Feeling positive now and I'm hoping to be back to goal in October. Please feel free to friend me, remember it has to be a lifestyle change, not a diet!

I started my journey back in December, and have lost just over 80 pounds with about 55 or so to go.

My biggest advice: take it one day at a time and trust that you are stronger than you think. You got this!

I am in the same boat as you! I need to lose around 175 lbs. and I need all the Motivation and support I can get. If I don't lose this weight the Dr's won't operate on my back and I need to do this for me, but also, I am so sick and tired of not being able to buy clothes (filling out of place), being on the outside looking in all the time, and I want my family to be proud of me and not ashamed of me. Mom say's just get off your butt and my brothers are the ones ashamed of me. I'm used to it by now, but it still hurts.
I have disabilities, so I can not exercise like everyone else can, but I do what I can. There are days however; that I can hardly walk, but I still try. I can't raise my arms very high either. So if anyone would like a fun, exited, emotional, super supporting person I'm your man. In this case woman. lollol lollol My ID is mawmawhueber if you'd like to add me. Thank you.

@GW4321 at the top of the page in this discussion there is a Invite Friends button. Just right click and open in new tab away you go.

I suggest everyone in this message visit Success Stories;Trust The Process for a little additional inspiration.

I recommend some good reads for you to start this journey as my "incredibly generic advice" when someone is new to MFP.

A discussion about the Food Database.

One I add is a 4 part Blog about the power of habits.

There is a Search Function that will be very useful.

These are just a few of the many great posts that have been so helpful.

In closing I offer up this small bit of wisdom. I can't remember where I read it but a wise person told me that my goal should be the next 1 pound loss, not the 75 I wanted to lose.
