Brand New, Need Help!

Hello All. So, I am brand new to this forum & I have been in a weight loss/fitness life change since October, 2015. I need to lose 20 more lbs. to reach my final goal and it has become INCREASINGLY more difficult. I see you all discussing calorie counting & I must admit...this is something I have NOT done (& have never done.) This seems like ALOT of work...especially when sitting down to a family meal. Is there an app or some EASY way to do this? I am terrible at writing things down & keeping journals etc. I hate to say it but I need it to be idiot proof & fast....is there something out there for someone like me??

mfp is the best app I have found for calorie counting. easy to use, pretty extensive data base, and a nice community of supportive people. I thought it sounded intimidating at first but honestly once I had been counting for a week or two it just turned into something I do without even really thinking about it. if you eat alot of the same things it gets easier to memorize the calorie content, and to recognize portion size for what it is. it might seem like a lot of work but for me at least it has been worth it. 19 lbs in a month and a half exceeded my expectations : )0

Ok so I am just really learning how much this site/app can do...I didn't even realize I could calorie count through this app (I'm on my laptop right now) HUH....so THANK YOU....I will try & acclimate myself better with all the functions both on my laptop & on my phone!!0
