So weak

Options
Everytime I lose weight I feel very weak, tired, dizzy and I get anxiety. I'm not underweight, in fact I'm in my weight range I just want to lose a few pounds for summer. Does anyone else feel this way?

You likely feel that way due to eating too little.

    I second this.

I'm eating around 1050-1150 calories a day. I gain weight when I eat around 1300-1400 a day. So eating low calorie seems to be the only way I can actually lose weight, and I'm not losing weight fast either.

How do you gain weight at such low calorie counts? Doesn't seem right.

I'm a hypochondriac (health anxiety) which seems to be worse when I'm hungry, so as the others said it could be that you're not eating enough.

I'm not sure. I can't really maintain weight. I lost 60 pounds a few years ago by eating 1250 calories a day, then I got lazy and started eating around 1400 calories a day and gained about 8 pounds so now I'm going back to lower calories. When I lost 60 pounds I feel the same way I do now, very weak and tired

It could also be iron deficiency, I've had that too and I felt tired and weak. Maybe get checked out by your doctor.

We don't have much info on you (like your height, weight, age etc.) but I'd be hungry and dizzy if I ate 1100 calories a day. Do you exercise? And if so, do you eat MORE when you do?

I don't exercise, I used to when I was a few pounds heavier. I usually feel too tired to exercise. I'm 5'6 and 133 pounds. Which is apparently healthy, my lowest weight was 124 and I want to be about 126-127 for summer

I'm 5'5" and got down to 130lbs in my 20's but I felt terrible and was unable to sustain that weight for long without eating less and less. I'd consider what is worse, the way you're feeling now or not losing any more weight. I know I'd be happy at 154lbs which is just over a healthy BMI but I know I couldn't maintain happily any lower weight than that.

So could it be that my body just can't handle being at a Lower weight?

Is there a food scale in your life? You could be under-eating now, and you might have been doing more than 1400 when you gained.

Yeah I weigh my food and leave about 100 calories at the end of the day because I know calories can legally be 20% off the actual number

I'm 5'6". My "preferred" weight is 130. Right now I'm at about 135 (menopause). I'd never make it on 1100 calories. And I'm 51. I'm betting you're a bit younger.

Yes I'm 22, are you losing or maintaining? What's your caloric intake?

Like if a package of oatmeal is 100 calories, it doesn't mean it's exactly 100, it can be up to 20% more or less
