Today think of me as Yoda: "Do or do not. There is no try."

Read that with a yoda voice.

Eating healthily and losing/maintaining weight is really simple. You don't need to "try", or rely on "motivation" or luck or willpower, you just have to eat fewer calories than you burn, and logging accurately, honestly and consistently in MFP will ensure you know how many you are eating.

Sticking to an appropriate calorie goal isn't necessarily easy, though. Food tastes good and tends to tempt you at every corner. This is where planning comes in. Make sure your kitchen is filled with nutritious food you like and that you bring lunch if the alternative is sub-par. This is also where individual preferences and differences come in. Choose tactics that work for you. Be careful about myths, like "carbs are evil", "don't eat after 6/7/8/9/10", "avoid fattening foods".

Sounds like something I would have posted a few months back, but I am trying to learn not to be soooo sarcastic these days
