Countdown to Onederland.. Who is with me?

I have been eating too much salt and a few too many carbs this week. Because of this I am up a little due to water retention. I know my calorie counts have been reasonable overall. Starting tomorrow (because I am having tater tots tonight with dinner, lol) I am going to be more careful with my salt and carb intake. I am going to shoot to keep my net carbs under 60g for a few days and see how I feel with a sodium level of no more than 1800. I feel like this is reasonable and should help me get things 'flushed out' without resorting to anything really restrictive.
As of today I'm at 202.4lbs so 2.6lbs to Onederland!!5 -
Hello all! Happy Friday to everyone. Today is my weigh in day. I am excited, as it is my biggest drop in a week. I lost 3.3! Exercised 6 days this week. Had a mini binge on wednesday. Felt out of control but logged it all. Ended up using my exercise calories, which I never do and was proud to realize I only went over calories by 6. Thought it would be much worse than that, but it just motivated me even more the next day. Cannot wait to get to onederland because I won't allow myself to try on my bathing suit til then. My townhouse community has a pool and I can't wait to use it, even if for the last month of the season. How about you? How was everyone's week?
Wow, that's a big drop! Congrats!
You might need to reconsider not eating your exercise calories back.
I ate back 50-75% of mine, and lost 80 lbs in 12 months.
If I hadn't had those extra calories, I would have been too "hangry" to keep up with my MFP plan, and never made it to my goal.1 -
Does anyone else find the weekends the hardest to stick to their goals? I have to focus extra hard to stop myself from mindless snacking. Any tips?0

They can be, if you let them. Meal planning and food prep helps a lot. Most days, I have my breakfast planned the night before. While I eat that, I plan out the rest of my food for the day in a way that makes sure I hit my macros and gets my vitamins, fibre, iron needs, etc. I find it simpler if I have a plan for what I'll eat. Most importantly, I still have treats when I want to, I just make sure they fit into my daily calorie count while getting all the good stuff in. Not surprisingly, the more healthier foods I eat, and the more progress I make (down 37 pounds in 102 days and 14lbs away from Onederland), the less I want to eat the junk and treats.
You can do this, and planning it out helps. There are not a lot of calories in veggies, so mindlessly snack on those5 -

3 years ago, I started training for a mudrun, my 1st ever and I was determined to prove people wrong. I had limited support but was determined to reach my goal. I logged everything, worked out (played tennis and did the couch to 5k program) and eventually hit 198! Then my whole world changed, I moved and my routine became null and void. I've slowly climbed up in weight and am somewhere in the range of 239...I know I can do it when I set my mind to it. I'm looking forward to being a part of this group!4 -
Welcome to all the lovely new people!
I've lost 80 lbs and am currently maintaining my goal weight of 135-9 lbs, and my top tip is to read the Helpful Posts!

ok guys it's time for me to weigh in! I am down 4.2lbs this week! i am so impressed with myself. it has been only two weeks, but the struggle is gone. I have found a routine that works for me, and I am not having a hard time with my diet. I keep many fresh fruits and vegetables around the house, and stick them in my purse when I go out. I always have almonds with me, they definitely help with the salty cravings. I hope everyone has a great week!
