I went to a family get together today and both my sisters and my dad noticed that I've lost weight. This is the first time anyone has noticed! I'm about 13-14 pounds down.12

My friend and I go for jogs every other day or so. Today we managed 5.3 km in 45 minutes, which shaved about four minutes off of our previous time!
Also! I thought I was done for the day exercise wise, but a friend, who knows I just got a new bike, hit me up. We went for a 10 km ride, which was really nice ^_^20 -
i went shopping for clothes and didn't hate how everything looks on me!18

While ironing my Old Navy Flag tshirt for a cookout (I buy a tshirt every single year) it struck me that I was ironing a size MEDIUM.
Last year this time it was a tight fitting 2XL.
I am feeling proud of my 78 pound weight loss!37 -
Overhead press at 50 pounds. I am acheiving things i am not 'supposed to' be able to.20

I've not really lost that much (about 4 kilos since the start of the year and 3 since I started MFP) but so far 3 people randomly asked asked if I've lost weight and complimented me on the results.14

I've had a very weird NSV last Saturday.
I went to a friend's birthday party in a restaurant. Lots of people we know, lots of people we didn't. A good mix in the end.
During pre-dinner cocktails and chatting up, as I joined a group of four to say hi to the one person I know, I introduce myself and shake hands. The last person from this group came to me and we started to introduce ourselves.
" Hi, I'm KitKat.
- Hi, I'm Clive. How do you know the birthday woman?
- Our daughters go to the same school. They're actually classmates.
- Really? Our daughters must be in the same class then.
- Who's your daughter?
- Charlotte
- ..., what...? (I paused as I do know Charlotte's parents very well...
- Who's your daugther?
- Lily... (Clive paused a second)
- What...? OMG ! KitKat, is that you?!! I didn't recognize you ! You look amazing ! Goodness me, you look younger, healthier, what a transformation !!
FYI: Charlotte and Lily are best friends but I hadn't seen Charlotte's father in months...he was wearing glasses and unusual clothes which he never does. Hence, my failure to recognize him.
That was awkward but that's definitely a NSV !!28 -
buying pants that are 6 inches smaller in waist and shirts that are 2x and 3x instead of 4x17

Getting my new size eight Australian jeans (size four us) back from the dry cleaners after a week. Before they fit perfectly, now they still fit but I need a belt to hold them up. Nice as my waist hasn't seemed to move on measuring but it must have coz they are mid rise jeans.9

Realized how crappy my bed is. I can feel every spring poking me no matter how I lay.10

Air conditioning doesn't work. The kittens I'm fostering have diarrhea. I still did a workout this morning!15

My butt is a large!!!! I don't think it's ever been a large. Somewhere in middle school I fit into medium sized clothing but by 9th grade it was 16/XL all the way.
I have such a hard time looking at these clothes and accepting they'll fit over my big booty, but they do!17 -
Being on a plateau for darn near three weeks and having three different men at work compliment me on my weight loss today! Hoo hoo!16

I can successfully wrap my thumb and middle finger around my wrist and they actually touch! lol20

My most recent NSV is that we bought seasons tickets to Busch Gardens and Water Country USA last week. I haven't been to either in a very long time, never with either of my kids (aged 16 and 20). We went to Busch on Friday and Sunday and I had a blast. I had plenty of energy to walk all over the park, climb stairs and hills and fit in all of the rides. Even my 16 year old daughter got tired before I did. I've really been busting my butt at the cardio and it's really nice to see benefits other than the weight loss. A year ago, I couldn't even have fit in most of the rides, much less traipse all over the park without losing my breath.
On Monday, hubby and I decided to go to Water Country for a few hours just to see what was there. I left the house in a bikini. I was 247 lbs last summer and I left the house in a bikini - I feel like I looked just fine. Hubby seemed to appreciate it!! And all of those stairs - some of the rides are 700 feet in the air and you have to climb stairs all the way to the top; I didn't have any problems. There were no lines due to storms in the morning so no resting either. I felt strong and so brave to be out in a bikini at my goal weight. I never want to go back to not being able to leave the house in a bikini.37 -
I lost 1.5" from my waist and 1.5" from my bust in June! My nursing bras are saggy baggy. My "real" bras have to be done up on the second or third row of hooks (depending on the bra). Cup still fits okish but I'm not sure they will for much longer... I will try to make these last until fall but I'm not sure if I can!12

I'm so proud! I finished C25K today! And in my fastest time yet (13:30/mi)! I know it's as slow as a turtle, but, for me, it felt like I was flying and could feel the giant smile on my face the whole time!33

I got excited that the dr gave the OK for me to exercise more. Usually I would have cringed at intense exercise13

Dang this is awesome!! Today was my very first time trying overhead press and I struggled with just the bar!! Couldn't even knock out all the reps....nice job!3 -
Spontaneous compliment from my husband about the dress I was wearing when I came downstairs to go to work this morning. Even BEFORE coffee. Woo hoo!16

My latest NSV was making the notice board at the gym!
They list the top 15 for the month.
I came 5th in distance travelled and 7th in calories burned!
Never thought I would make the board!
Not bad for someone still needing to lose 50 lbs!21 -
I had to spend a few hours in Melbourne having my car serviced today. Instead of sitting in a cafe drinking coffee and eating enough to feed a village, I braved the rain and freezing wind & walked for about 90 mins taking in the sights of the big smoke! Distance calculated at about 5km which wasn't a bad stroll.
And the best part? Instead of counting that as my daily cardio I clocked another 90 mins in the gym after dinner. Yes!!22 -
5 perfect push ups today!23
-
I put on a pair of black stretching shorts. They are loose at teh bottom. Who knew they were supposed to fit like that? and turns out they are a size medium. (I am still a large in most cothes).
Apparently the back of my thighs have been thinning down!10 -
Yesterday I realized that I don't need to shop in the Ladies department (W16 & above) any more! No more hideous 2X shirts with horrific colors/patterns. Why do clothes manufacturers think large women like capped sleeves and horizontal stripes?26

Went out of town for the holiday and splurged a little and did not track. However, I didn't go crazy overboard (like I would have in prior years) and got right back on track when we returned!13

I'm so excited that I can finally add to this awesome post. I have been on my new life journey since January of this year. I started walking daily and then I added a second walk since my work hours changed for the summer. Yesterday I walked on the treadmill because it's so hot were I live. I'm happy to report that I ran for 12 minutes without stopping and for me that is a major deal.34
