Halo Top iced cream

I bought two pints of the stuff because it's on sale at Whole Foods, and just tried a spoon full of the mint chocolate chip. It's yummy, light and airy but buttery at the same time. The coffee chocolate chip one isn't quite as good, but still not bad. They're both more like tiny occasional flecks of chocolate than bona fide chips.
Anyway I want to recommend the stuff because an entire pint is 240 kCals. And 24 g of protein. So for people who are prone to binging, this is a good choice. My girlfriend wants to see how many we can fit in our freezer while it's on sale.

I've been trying to find these but I can't! Have you (or anyone who sees this) had Arctic Zero? Does it taste similar or better?2

My freezer is full of the mint. I eat a pint a day or so. It's creamier than AZ, more like real ice cream. I like AZ too, but I like icy ice cream. If you don't love me icy, you won't like AZ.2

The newer pints have some better reviews. I admit, I would like to try at least cookie dough. The price and my prior experience with original AZ keep me from trying that and Halo Top.

Lemon Cake Halo Top is heavenly. It seems to be one of the less popular flavors, probably because it doesn't sound quite as sexy, which is lucky for me because it has always been available. The only store that carries Halo Top is about an hour away, so I might get there every 2-3 months.
The Brownie and Cookie Dough Arctic Zero flavors are pretty good, though not as good as Halo Top. But they are less expensive and available to me locally. I didn't care for the Snickerdoodle flavor.5 -
Ooooo I'm just finishing off a pint of the snickerdoodle and really like it. The ice cream base has a subtle cinnamon flavor but I really like the fact you can taste the cookie bites. The pecans in the buttery pecan flavor...not so much.
But definitely Halo Top birthday cake ftw! (The vanilla was good too.)
I wouldn't actually eat the whole container of Halo Top or Arctic Zero in one shot tho because of...reasons.1 -
Lemon Cake Halo Top for the win of all wins. Lemony, but not too tart. Think lemon meragine not lemon curd. OMG! My hubby loves the strawberry and he isn't even dieting. Says its the best strawberry ice cream he has ever had. lol8
-
I passed on the lemon cake because I figured it would be tart but now....
Gimme.1 -

Eh. I like the vanilla bean the most, and I don't even like vanilla ice cream. The lemon one is not my style. I love Halo Top though. Mmmm...add some powdered PB to the vanilla. It's great.5

I love the vanilla bean!! It's so good!!1

Thanks for the flavor recommendations, everyone! Beth has been wanting to try the birthday cake so it's good to hear everybody loves it.
Apparently you can order it online and have it show up magically at your door. I don't know the details. It's $5 a pint at Whole Foods so we're going to stock up locally. But the rumor is they're having some kind of problem getting it to stores and WF is discounting it because they aren't going to carry it anymore. So we'll probably try one of each flavor then order the ones we like.0 -
Tried it for the first time last week and it was awesome. NOTHING like sad Arctic Zero.
This weekend I got chocolate, and lemon cake to try.2 -
Now I'm tempted to go buy a pint. They have it at the grocery two blocks away. They only have the Strawberry left but it's really good with cocoa powder.2

Loooove lemon! I like to melt mine a little so it's super creamy2

Just bought some and have yet to try it. Tried the cookie dough Artic Zero last night and actually really liked it. Not the real thing, but curved my sweet tooth1
-
Lemon cake was my favorite and I usually don't even like lemon. No one sells in within an hour and a half of where I live so when I get it it's a real treat!1

Love the Chocolate its so rich so you don't have to eat a lot. I really want to try the birthday cake flavor and the mint chocolate. The vanilla is my favorite.3

Got the strawberry for tonight.
Has anyone actually weighed out a pint? I haven't been weighing out my pre-packaged stuff lately but I need to buckle down a bit. Just wondering how the weight comes in compared to what the package says.2 -
Thanks for this; it's on my Whole Foods shopping list.Looking forward to trying it.
Sounds like a good thing for people who are not prone to bingeing, too. For those who are bingers, this won't get at the psychological reasons behind the bingeing so it's not a substitute for getting professional help for eating disorders.2 -

I have. Most of my Halo Top pints have come out to less than the listed weight.
I bought a pint of the Wink Frozen Desserts Choco-mint at Whole Foods today. Not good at all. Way worse than Arctic Zero. I admit, the 100 calorie point was alluring but never again3 -

Yeah I used Wink before I could get my hands on AZ. I have to add a lot to it to make it bearable.1 -
Tried it, liked it, but at 6.49/pint way out of my budget except for extreme and I mean extreme ice cream necessity.

Haven't tried it yet. They only just had more than one flavor available at the store the other day, but I was on a mission to get Lifeway frozen kefir (not ice cream but still amazing!!!).
I'll have to try it. I was afraid it was like Wink or AZ. I hated Wink...ate about two bites and had to toss it. AZ, whatever flavor it was I had, wasn't too good, but I still ate it.
Luckily this stuff's only like $4 here instead of $6-7.1 -
My Whole Foods is always out even when it's not on sale and doesn't carry the birthday cake flavor anyway... so I'm not going to bother checking. I refuse to pay the outrageous price for a pint otherwise... and I don't like mint, lemon, or strawberry ice cream, lol.
But I've tried the vanilla and was disappointed the second time (it was good the first time but I think my expectations were very low). I really can't recommend eating the whole pint either, I spent a LOT of time in the bathroom after I did.
I like Enlightened a lot though, but it has more calories.3 -
Chocolate Halo Top is awesome. As far as Arctic Zero goes, all I've tried is awful except for the brownie blast, which is actually pretty awesome.2
-
You guys keep talking about this Halo Top stuff and i might actually have to try it. I'll wait til after I finish paying my calorie debt to the ice cream gods for that pint of Sam's Choice Raspberry Cheesecake I ate over the last 2 days.2
-
So I went to Whole Foods today and bought the mint chip and chocolate ones, and it's way better than Arctic Zero! So much more like actual ice cream. I put it in one of those 10 calorie ice cream cones so I don't eat the entire pint lol2
-
I get it so I can eat the entire pint. I've never not eaten the entire pint.12
