Two NSVs for today: 1) Since I skipped walking the dog before work this morning, I walked a one mile trail with co-workers on break, even though the heat and humidity are horrible again. 2) It's "food day" in the office. But I'm being careful about what and how much I'm choosing to eat, and logging everything. My journey may be slow, but I will get there in the end.18

Same!8 -
For some reason, I was famished this morning and had no control or energy. I ate my regular breakfast, then had a banana, then had a chunk of Cheddar cheese, then made some nachos with black beans, cheese, salsa and avocado. All before 10am. I lazily cleaned house and watched alot of TV.
Then about 1, I got off my *kitten* and went to the pool. I swam 2 miles straight, totally erasing any damage I did from this morning.
Came home, had a bowl.of fresh fruit and am defrosting some salmon for a healthy dinner.32 -
Bought a size medium shirt today! (at old navy but it still counts lol) Downside is I feel like I never know my size anymore, in clothes or just in general which feels a little strange!14

We went to Lego land yesterday, so food was everywhere. Before we left I made some ham sandwiches and calculated the calories of my entire day before setting off. I had space for 3 fresh mini doughnuts from a stall, they were divine.
I did find myself looking at strangers almost in disgust ( tried not to be to judgemental) at the amount of food people were shovelling in their faces, almost in a robotic motion. I'm sure I was staring at people but I was adding up their calories in my head. 1 Pringles is 10 calories and some people were popping 3 at a time at a time at a time.. Scary because that was probably me once!!13 -
My boss (female) saying I look hot lol14

I'm learning to make my own clothes (it helps keep my mind off food!) Earlier this year I made myself a silver duct tape dummy, which is a scary exact replica of my body, to use for draping. In the past 3 months the scales have only shown a 5lb drop, but I've lost 5cm from my bust, 8cm from waist, and 6cm from my hips, and my dummy is now bigger than I am
Think I'll wait a bit before I make another one!
(It's because I've swapped lots of swimming and walking for fewer sessions of dumbbells at home, with occasional swimming, and it's really helping to tighten and shrink my body, for less effort . Plus I have so much more energy than when I was trying and failing to increase the amount of cardio, and my heart likes it better too.)17 -
I have a couple of NSV
I brought a bikini back on a visit to my parents and sisters-and actually wore it in the lake twice (I also used my one piece)
I was said to lose a favourite pair of pants (size 14). You know when you can slide them off without undoing it is time to pas them on-to my Mom BUT here's the great part-the small store in this small town where I was visiting had 2 pair of the same pants in a 10. Woohoo. On and zipped but still a little muffin top. and I picked up a medium dress-same style/make as the large I had at home.14 -
I know that next week, I will be sitting in training four out of five workdays. Only one seminar will have lunch provided. So I'm already thinking ahead about how I will manage the lunch times. In the past, I wouldn't even think about pre-planning, and would probably eat whatever was available or go out with others without much thought.14

I bought a dress last Saturday to wear to our daughter's wedding in Sept and when I tried it on for my husband, while he loved it, he thought it looked too big.
We took it back the next day and exchanged it for the smaller size.27 -
Putting on a pair of my yiga pants that almost looked like "floods" but they now cover my ankle. I am pumped and still working hard at them covering my heel. Lol maybe at that point they may fall down LOL19

I had an "after" picture become a "before" picture yesterday. In the first picture, I had already lost about 42 lbs. The difference between the two pictures are 9 weeks and only about 10 lbs. I was really surprised to see the difference in my face and arm

Went to Texas Roadhouse last night and got peanut dust and oil all over my only clean pair of size 34 Dockers. Freaked out until I decided to try on my old 32's.
They fit! And they're much more comfortable than the 34s have been recently.24 -
Went to my doctor today to see if my vitamin D results were up from 6 months ago. (They were) He couldn't stop gushing about my weight loss, and how unbelievably different and how much happier I look. (I wore a little make-up for dramatic effect ) He, literally couldn't stop staring at me in amazment...almost became uncomfortable, lol. He also happens to live across the street from me and told my husband to congratulate me on all the running I'd been doing. That was nice. He also said that as a doctor, it was just really nice to be able to see a patient take control of their health and to be able to see what's possible. I have to go back in 3 months for another blood test. Can't wait! I'll be at a 'healthy' BMI by then!40

Yeah. A neighbor, who did have the surgery, very nearly refused to believe that I didn't.20 -
I ran my first 10 minute mile! I used to walk "the mile" in high school29

In some senses this is not really an NSV but it feels appropriate.
My older brother has always been lighter than me and teased me about my weight. Or at least until today, where I weighed in lighter than him for the very first time!38 -
Pulled a 300lb deadlift for three reps at 185lb bodyweight.23
