How to solve a sweet tooth craving?

Looking for recipes and input on helping to crave your sweet tooth that are healthy and won't kill your diet. I always have a sweet tooth and I will chew gum or eat fruit but sometimes that's not enough. Been looking to Pinterest for good recipes that I can add into my diet to satisfy that craving (energy bars, healthy oat balls, protein cookies etc.)

I made these double chocolate bar two days in a row. These are very addicting and not too crazy on the calories.
Cheap too!

I find banana ice cream (vegan "nice cream") crazy filling. Maybe even a touch more filling than a smoothie made with 100% the same ingredients.... even though a smoothie has a larger volume because of the added water or almond milk. It makes no sense. Banana ice cream with only bananas, dash of water and chocolate syrup is like 250-300 calories depending on the bananas. If I'm low on calories then I'll just add 1 TB of agave (60 calories) and cinnamon or nutmeg. I'm telling you, crazy filling.

Even though I make vegan recipes I do eat all foods. Due to everybody and their mom posting halo ice cream on instagram the marketing got to me so I bought some. 240 calories for a pint of *delicious* ice cream! Banana ice cream is a million times cheaper and you can customize it easily but Halo Top is undeniably legit. These are all good options. I love cheap best.18 -
Sallys Baking Addiction and Skinny Taste are sites I use often for lower calorie recipes - but normally I do a 40 calorie fudge pop or sugarfree hard candies.13

I eat a pickle.14

I'll drink a bottle of water...or chew gum..or just eat a sweet snack lol..depends on how i'm feeling. It's not always bad to indulge just don't over do it. Only eat half of what your craving etc.18

If I am low on calories I just weigh out 100-150 calories of dark chocolate chips. I let them melt in my mouth instead of devouring them. It usually satisfies me.30

I have a few but how do I post pics?1

Fruit. It works. Frozen fruit is good.14

A no sugar added popsicle always does the trick for me! 1g sugar and 25 calories!11

I actually take medicine that make me crave sweets and my crutch used to be Coca-Cola. I thought it was the caffeine I was hooked on, but learned it was the sweet sugar taste.
I actually ended up trying the "Mio" Liquid Water Enhancer that I get at Kroger. I reuse a Glaceau Bottled Water Bottle that is about 24 fluid ounces. I fill with cold water and I squeeze Mio in for about a 10 count.
I found it nails my sweet craving with no sugar, matter of fact one type is now too sweet for me, and has zero calories. You can also get ones with electrolytes for after a workout or Caffeine added.3 -
Dates, very sweet and help with "omg I need sweets now" cravings12

I have the same issue.. I crave sweets, and really have a hard time at night not giving in...
Last night I ate 10 crackers with crunchy peanut butter.. sure it wasn't the best choice. But it worked.. lol18 -
I really like eating sugar free Jello & nonfat/ light variety flavored yogurts and sometimes like to freeze them with a stick and make a frozen yogurt posicle, which I actually got off Pinterest.15

I make protein balls with medjool dates, vanilla, chocolate chips, rolled oats, milled golden flax and chia seeds, and some PBfit. I also make pb fit smoothie, you can add pbfit, banana, even chocolate chips, fat free milk, and some ice. Banana dipped in pudding..used to have it as a kid but its awesome lol.6

I also like to melt down some chocolate and dip strawberries in it.10

HALO ice cream if you can get it, they have a store locator on their website.9

^ Absolutely agree about HALO ice cream. The chocolate tastes like custard.8

I really do not try to solve a sweet tooth craving. I either have a sweet tooth craving or a different craving like sweet and salty, or just salty or savory, etc..
Do not try to avoid what you want, just make wiser choices when you choose what to eat when that craving hits, or if you have this daily leave you some calories to have what you want.
I use my protein powder to make things like donuts, cookies, energy bars, and when I want a "quick go to", graham crackers and peanut butter, celery and peanut butter, or jello snack pack or jello pudding snack pack (or make my own), sugar free ice cream like Blue Bunny Sweet Freedom, and also I will simply just have a regular cookie, or ice cream bar, dark chocolate covered peanuts/almonds, etc..

I LOVE the Special K biscuit moments, they have chocolate, caramel and strawberry. You get 2 cookies for 95 calories, I take those and then cut them in half, then cut them into little squares. I'll eat a square and sip my evening tea until its all gone! Works like a charm! I feel like Im eating A LOT of sweets, when in reality I'm just eating a lot slower!17

Definitely! We get mazafati dates. I think they taste like a brownie.1 -
Greek yogurt with some low sugar fruit (raspberries, strawberries, blueberries) and some dark chocolate chips (usually just 1TBS). It's a great alternative to ice cream. I've also done just smashed frozen banana with some dark chocolate chips.
There's also ice cream out there called Halo Top that is protein ice cream and less than 300 calories in the entire pint if you REALLY have a craving for something sweet/want to eat a whole pint of ice cream.
Skinnytaste as a cookie recipe that's just bananas, walnuts, oats, and chocolate chips (I think) and they are crazy good.6 -
Hard candy helps me. Right now I've got a bag of Werther's original. I can also enjoy it for longer than 2 minutes, lol.5

I freeze lower carb greek yogurt, but I'll agree Halo ice cream is SIMPLY amazing!3

I like to make cocoa coconut pancakes when I am having a sweet craving. I just add melted coconut oil and unsweetened cocoa powder to the mix, along with cinnamon and nutmeg. I drizzle melted nut butter on top instead of using maple syrup and I get a taste of my fave combo: PB and chocolate (without adding sugar to it). I have to be careful with my blood sugar and this often does the trick.4

I would rather just eat what I actually want once or twice a week . IMO the problem with making healthier versions is doesn't come close to satisfying me and also I tend to eat more of it cause usually u make more than one serving. But the big reason is by trying to research what to make and how much less calories etc it makes people obsessive about it and keeps you always thinking about how to cheat the system. If you want it eat it enjoy it. The minute u try and limit something the more your body wants it11

I regularly budget my calories to have a Snickers or Milky Way Dark.
I make cold brew ice tea (0 kcals) sweeten it with Splenda.
300 grams of strawberries with a squeeze of lime and Splenda is only 100 kcals.
My cookies and cream protein shake kills my sugar cravings. (Combat protein powder)
Halotop ice cream others have mentioned already. Chocolate is my favorite.
Cup of skim milk with some Hershey's syrup. Calories depend on how chocolatey I feel like making it...
Gogert frozen. 50 kcals7 -

And Medjools - but they can be pricey. But one date is 70 cals and I absolutely agree they taste like fudgy brownies.1 -
I cut an apple up and spread peanut butter over each slice and sprinkle some chocolate chips. I also make flourless muffins to satisfy my sweet tooth.5
