I've been buying new clothes, bras, etc. Lately and I keep picking up a size and looking at it like "oh it's too small, but I guess I'll try it" and having it fit! It feels so nice after always having to buy bigger than I thought/hoped I was.. Gonna be a while before my actual size and what I think i am match up, I think.26

I had mentioned some time ago that my dress pants I was wearing were getting too big in the legs, but according to the waist I wasn't ready to go down a size yet. So I tried on all the other jeans and dress pants I had. I can't fit into any of the smaller jeans yet, but I did find a few pairs of dress pants that fit, but not all of them did. some were still too small. The one I was wearing today was the smallest one that fit and now it is getting too long in the legs and baggy. I still don't know if the jeans fit yet, I will have to try them on tomorrow.
Also, the only pair of shorts I have that fit me when I was 330 are feeling fairly loose. I keep having to pull them up. Not by much, but I still feel like I have to pull them up. Also, the ends of the legs were above my knees a little bit when I was 330 and now they are below my knees. I don't know how far below my knees, but they are below my knees now.27 -
Two yesterday. I bought a size-smaller work-out shorts....and...And yes, this is douchey...but I was doing concentration curls and looked up to the mirror...and damn...guys...I have small biceps now. Where it used to be just kinda flat or rounded, I could see actual bulges. I was so stoked I took a stupid gym-pic.
I've never felt proud of my body - even while a Soldier, with a 4-pack and measurably fit, I was embarrassed to remove my shirt...like...always. So this is a big deal for me. Thanks for putting up with it.

Ha! Whilst out on my bike this morning, I met a total smart-a-r-s-e. He was peddling like crazy and going so slowly (clearly in a very low gear) so I just went past him as he was in my way.
He took offence to this and hurtled past me going down a hill (STILL peddling like crazy, his legs must have really been hurting).
Problem was, at the bottom of the hill was another hill, so he's back to peddling like crazy and getting nowhere so I zoomed past him again going UP the hill. Left him standing.
He really should learn that he can use the different gears to get along a bit faster . . . made me chuckle though. I wasn't out to race, I was out for exercise41 -

Was able to go zip lining on vacation - under the weight restriction by 45 pounds!
Did yoga on the beach and was not embarrassed
Attempted a rock climbing wall - go half way up - yeah me!41 -
Sending photos to my mom (we live 3 provinces apart and only see each other once a year) and being proud of how I look instead of dreading her reaction.22

Two days in a row, I got up early before work and walked the dog 2.34 miles. This is hard for me, I'm not a morning person, and this week hubby started his new job 2nd shift, so he gets home after I'm asleep and I wake up. Yay me!13

I made myself a cute new dress and went out shopping. The dress fit perfectly, and I felt adorable. I was looking through the ladies' clothing when I felt something slip. I looked down, and my underwear had fallen down around my ankles. I was too far from the dressing room to scoot in there, so I had to back into a corner and yank up my underpants and hope that no one was looking. I'm sure that some guy in a security booth was laughing at me.
And yes, I did buy new underwear.44 -
Well, I've noticed that now I'm one of the thinnest dads among the parents at my son's football club and at the beginning of this year, I was one of the fattest. Yeah !44

When I started trying to lose weight, I noticed that my thighs rubbed. They touch for about 3 inches. Today, I noticed it's about 2 inches.
And now I absolutely HAVE to wear a belt with every pair of jeans I own. Now I have to go buy a belt.16 -
Just closed my office door to do 40 squats. Who am I.... lol.36

1) Caught sight of myself reflected in a shop window earlier, and, even if I have to say so myself, I look damn good, apart from the butt and stomach which are dwindling away, ever so s-l-o-w-l-y
2) Saw my oldest friend today, I haven't seen her since Christmas. At Christmas she gave me an odd look, a "I think that you may have lost weight but I'm too polite to say so" sort of look. At that point, I was 67lbs into my weight loss journey.
Today, she didn't even say "hello", it was "OMG! You've lost LOADS of weight!". Her face was a picture. Since Christmas I've lost a further 63lbs but it must be so much more noticeable, or maybe it's because I now wear clothes that fit rather than my old "fat" clothes that hung off me and disguised my weight loss (buying clothes that fit make SUCH a difference to how I look and, more importantly, how I FEEL).
She also made a point of telling her husband, as he opened the front door (he didn't even get into the house), that I'd lost weight.
I'd be willing to bet that the minute I left, she rang her sisters and parents to tell them as well (I've known her and her family for 32 years).
She also said that I could probably get back into my wedding dress now but before I could answer, my husband jumped in and said "No way, it's FAR too big for her now" (gotta love that man ). I said that my dress had been a (UK) size 18 and I was now between a (UK) size 12 and 10. My friend said that I am now SMALLER than she is (she's a 12/14) and that she has never known me so slim. ME - smaller than my friend who is TINY.
I still have a way to go, another 38lbs but I am really looking forward to getting there. My daughter also shocked me by saying that she's looking forward to seeing me at goal as well
And I cycled further today than usual, in the same amount of time (an extra mile!).
Good vibes all around!

Sorry about your grandpa. Awesome about staying out of the treats.
Thank you!1 -

I had an annual meeting with some people I work with, and one of the ladies asked if I had lost weight and I answered honestly. She then went to say that I had lost a ton and she kept asking the others if that was actually me, lol. I almost downplayed it, but then I told myself to accept the compliment, and then after the meeting was over, I realized that losing 28 pounds is indeed a lot of weight and that I should be proud of that.33

I LOVE reading stories like these, where good friends are so excited over our successes. You read far too many of the opposite sort of thing.13 -
I am wearing a 34 DD bra. I haven't been beneath a DDD since I was 13 years old. Words cannot describe how elated I am at this.
Also, I totally look awesome in my bikini.29 -

My doctor told me July 15 that I have hypertension and might have to go on blood pressure pills (140/something). My BP is now normal (117/75) after 6 weeks of exercise and losing 14 pounds. No pills for me.34

Yep - been doing this too. Great way to get through challenges and get the blood flowing at the office - I also stand at my desk more than 50 % of the time. Really helps keep the back problems I used to have at bay!

Last night after work, I was in back with the dog, saw all the weeds growing in one section. It was a jungle. No plan at all, but I just grabbed my work gloves and pulled weeds for 20 -25 minutes. Since it was on an incline, even better workout.14

this morning i put on a belt with my favorite dress (it's a little big now), the last time i used the belt i think i had it on the first notch for like 10 minutes before i sat down and needed to increase it to the 2nd or 3rd. when i put it on today i was looking for notches where none exist. i'm currently sitting at my desk at the tightest notch and it's totally comfortable, a bit loose when i'm standing.11
