I catch myself doing this too once in a while! It feels great!

Been on maintenance for a month and have started lifting heavier and I've lost 1" around my chest, which means I've lost some back fat!

For some reasin i have a bunch today:
1) My husband challenged his sister to run/walk 100 miles in August. I thought I can do that, and walked 117 miles in August, beating them both.

2) I can buckle my belt on the fith (last) hole. When I started I couldn't even buckle on the first hole.

3) I went way over cals today (thai food and chocolate), I was tempted not you track, but that is a slippery slope, so I tracked every bite.

Absolutely makes sense! I started dieting this year to try to slim down and was very successful in a short time on the Atkins diet, Phase 1. Of course this is not a phase that is supposed to keep going, but I already looked so different and got so many astonished remarks and excited encouragement that I wanted to keep it going somehow. I found a wonderful book that mentioned MFP and taught me about CICO. Since MFP, I have been losing weight consistently and in the beginning stuck to everything in my goals stringently. I remember the feeling of panic the first time I went over my calories and hoped it would not lead to failure LOL Since then, I have learned that these changes are not about being perfect, it's about just moving on and keeping on doing it! After I realized that and lost more weight, (the total is almost 45 pounds today,) I began to actually begin wanting to exercise. (All done with just counting calories so far.) Just dropping the fat is not going to be enough for me. I want to be strong, lean and shapely. I want to have endurance and controlled grace in my body. I want to confidently wear a bikini!! I would have NEVER sincerely had these thoughts before and NEVER actually thought I could ever be capable of it, but I do now and that is crazy. I started this year just wanting to lose 25 pounds and not feel as big, so a total change of mind from one stage to another is a huge deal and more than just wanting to be lighter and smaller. =NSV

Excellent. I have a robe that I am hoping will get longer as I lose. My nsvs are finally starting to lift weights and avoiding my mother in law's delectable homemade chocolate chip cookies and gourmet ice cream last night. I may have gone over my allotted cals last night, but was still in a slight deficit and only ate nutritious foods that I feel proud of consuming. I'll save the indulgences for when I've made a bit more progress.

My company just went from business casual/denim Friday's to an all denim dress code. The size 18's I wore on Friday (my former goal pants when I was a tight size 22 10 months ago) were getting a bit saggy. Since old navy has 50% off jeans I went in to see if I am ready to squeeze into a size 16. Nope. Walked out with 2 pairs of 14!!!!!

My daughter told me that my legs were "tiny"...my mother said my hour glass figure is back....my husband can't get enough....I am 3 shirt sizes and 3 pants sizes down since Easter. .when exercising I can actually touch my elbow to my knee!

I finished C25K this morning!! And I actually want to keep going so next week I'll keep going with 10k training, until the weather starts to suck.

Went down a t shirt size that I feel comfortable in. Bought one the next size down as well. It "fits". But I'm still a little more comfortable in baggy t shirts

I started one of the new Adventures in Fitbit and it was 15,000 steps. I had got half way there by work's end and decided to just finish it out, i ended up with 16,000 steps last night to finish it in one day! Usually i would have sat at home and watched a movie.

I just bought 4 new tops at Kohl's. NOT from the plus size department! I noticed earlier this week that my size 2X ones were too baggy and hoped to get into 1x but I wandered into the "normal " dept and found a few tops. I kept waiting for someone to ask if I was lost! Side note: they have ugly clothing in the normal dept too. I had assumed that everything there was really pretty. Nope!

Sorta scale related but I got below 240, weighing in at 238 this am. Why is that significant? Because my license has for years lied by having my weight listed at 240... Now I'm under that for the first time in about 10 years! It's fun to be under my license weight

That was me! Unfortunately no, he didn't, but they was more due to the fact that our reception didn't end until past midnight and we were both shattered!

The fact he could have carried me over the threshold without issue is the true NSV

Today I was trying on a skirt at Targer with my mom. I took a 12 into the dressing room and slid into it with ease. When I went to go show my mom she went, "oh no, that's too big. You need the next size down." I felt like crying when I walked out with my size 10 skirt. I haven't been a size 10 since middle school.

I've been stocking up on the next size down as stuff comes on sale and as I was putting my clothes away today I decided to try the pants on (size 14) and they did up! Holy crap! I can't wear them yet but I'm thinking within the next month.

I read this thread religiously and am thrilled & inspired by each and every NSV posted. I am your cheerleader, and you are definitely mine!

As time goes on, everyone on this journey will discover that the scales slow down, stop, and sometimes even creep up. This is when we need to rely on other moments of joy, even the tiniest and weirdest successes, to keep us motivated and on task. So keep your posts coming my friends, and together, we will win.

My scales appeared to have stopped 3kg short of my goal weight, and have been stuck for about 5 months now. But I have three NSV's to share...

1. A lady I worked with and haven't seen in 12 months saw me at the supermarket yesterday and was lost for words. Literally. When she could finally speak she said she actually didn't recognise me.

2. I find strange pleasure in comparing photos of the old me and the new me. It's so inspiring to see how far I've come, and encourages me to keep at it.

3. I picked up a very expensive sports bra a few weeks ago for just $5.00 in a size 10C thinking that if it never fitted me, I would have only spent $5.00. I used to wear 16DD. Now I wish I'd bought five of them xx

You are so right I am comparing photos too and taking heart that although I have gained 2lbs this week I will try harder and hopefully get even more nice pics ❤️❤️

I walked 15 miles yesterday and this morning didn't feel any pain at all. Was still able to do my daily 5 mile walk this morning with ease.
