Girls, show off your muscles!! (So tired of the muscle shaming...)

Even though we live in a time when we are supposedly "more accepting" of everything, it seems like muscles on girls is still fair game for criticism. I'm pretty sick of it. I for one am proud of my muscles and all the work I've put into them!! Just one piece of advice, remember to smile. I've got a bit of an angry face in that last one...lol

Looking good. I want the muscle you have. Lost a lot of weight doing T25, now doing body beast as well to gain more muscle. You are proof if you keep at it you can do it. Thanks for the inspiration.5

Amen...Of course that's just my preference. Maybe the objections are coming from generations of programmed thinking or people who are not fit. Rock on I say. People who say oh she looks manly, I say no lil weeman you just look unfittingly. lol Maybe their jealous that you lift more. I love it myself.6

I'm so glad to hear this! Yeah, usually, the objections come from little boy-men. But I just wonder how it really affects them at all? If I was actually walking around with steroid Arnold arms, why the problem with it?

All I know is my hubby loves my tight fit body, he also loves my current tight preggo body. I can't wait to get back to the gym after this little one is born.6

Thank you!! I got really sick a few years back and lost a bunch of weight. That wasn't fun. I learned then that being "skinny" wasn't what I wanted. Now that I'm well,I'm just trying to get strong. Those T25 workouts are rough! I tried doing insanity but it was pretty rough on my joints. Congrats on getting through that!!2 -

love this thread - too many people criticizing women for having muscle, men and women alike! i don't criticize them for their lack of muscle, why criticize me for enjoying fitness and looking a certain way?9
