What is on your refrigerator, your bathroom mirror, your desk at work, your car dash....

Mine isn't a saying really, it's just that I've been to a bad enough place with my health that I nearly died... it was a long road to recovery and now I want to maintain a healthy lifestyle & get to a healthier weight (15 to 20 lbs of fat loss would be good) for the best chance of optimum health in the future for as long as I can manage it... I guess something like "my life and health is worth it" could work.

Being challenged in life is inevitable. Being defeated is optional.

Stop eating amounts of food that support and maintain an overweight person.
Eat and move to support a person who is at your goal weight and fitness level. Forever.

Can't type mine here, it wouldn't make it past the filters, lol. :)

The G-Rated alternate would be "If not now, when?"

This is a good one. For the longest time I put it off, just imagining that someday I'd lose weight. Which reminds me of another good mantra:

Your future self will thank you for the work you are doing today.
    (I thank myself every day!)

Fitness isn’t about being better than someone else… it’s about being better than you used to be

    Keep it simple stupid.

    Excuses don't burn calories.

I have 2: " you might outrun me, you'll probably outlift me, but no way you'll ever outwork me!" And "pain is temporary, but quit lasts forever...you're already in pain, might as well get something for it!"

Mine is more of an answer to the question "why do I count calories and exercise "
"Because, what's the alternative and result?"

I DO actually like this new life I have created. But for some reason I keep forgetting that and get to thinking I prefer being lazy and tired and undisciplined and feeling bloated and sick and gross. So I tell myself to do what I actually want to do, not what I THINK I want to do.

    "CURL!!" -CT Fletcher

"If you can control your mind, you can control your muscle." -CT Fletcher

    "ISYMFS" -CT Fletcher

If I had mantras, those would be some of them.

    Mine is a little weird...

    "Do it for the tentacles"

To explain: I have a tattoo of an Octopus over 75% of my body. Watching that change as I do, is pretty awesome.

I have several, but what have been in the rotation for the last few weeks:
"Nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels"
"Just do it. Even if you suck."
"Squats are bad for your knees. FALSE. Being fat is bad for your knees. "
