I made these delicious little guys today. While pumpkin is great, it has a thread. What's MFP's favorite fall desserts centered around any other fall goodies?

Ina Garten's Pear, Apple, and Cranberry Crisp is my favorite. I've made it the past few Thanksgivings. I don't like pumpkin pie.

I second pecan pie, although my waist definitely doesn't agree with it.

My favorite thing ever is this though

Arguably better with pears. You can use puff pastry instead for the dough too. So tasty.

Those apple crisp bars look delicious!

I seriously love the pumpkin spice treats, but, I think warm apple crisp with a scoop of cinnamon ice cream is absolutely divine! A co-worker just brought it to work for me for my 65th birthday a couple of weeks ago. Yummy!

.................I do love pecan pie though............but have not had any since joining MFP almost 5 years ago. I know this is one thing I could not stop eating at just a taste. The whole pie would be gone.

All of them, except pecan pie. :) A nice warm proper egg custard made with ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg.... is a thing of beauty and a joy forever

    Applesauce cake or apple cobbler.

I spent some time yesterday trying to figure out how to reduce calories in a pecan pie. Only subs I could figure out that might work is sugar free maple syrup for corn syrup and Swerve for any additional sugar. The main problem with the pie is all the rest of it. Pecans are calorie bombs, pie crust is lard, I like chocolate in mine, so I've got that going for me too. But it is good at Thanksgiving.

Lol @ guilt free. Still has a lot of calories even though it's 'paleo'. SMH. Looks tasty though!!!

I honestly don't know if I would have gone as nuts for apple as I am now if it weren't for the apple pie Blizzard.

I've never had sweet potato pie to be honest. I just wish I knew how my family would feel about it.

I never heard of corn muffins before. I assumed they were just cornbread but Google says different.

For Halloween- shortbread witch fingers, snake bite parfait (recipe on Betty Crocker site), caramel apples
Things I tend to make in the fall- Apple crisp, apple pie, homemade applesauce, baklava, bread pudding, gingerbread, candied nuts

Right now I'm looking at maple recipes.

I thought for sure this thread would be about healthy desserts, not regular ole sugary crap. Baked apples with cinnamon for me. No sugary pies or crisps, and certainly not caramel!

I get 2,360 calories on my maintenance days (doing 5:2). I make room for 400 calories worth of sweets in addition to eating plenty of whole foods.

Come next Tuesday or Thursday, I will be enjoying my pecan tassies while feeling good about my overall diet.

Oh, North America, pack away your pies and heed the autum call of good old crumble and custard!

    Blackberry & Apple crumble
    Apple crumble
    Rhubarb crumble

That's what the season is all about!

Oh that's too bad. I'm super healthy and love to have delicious full fat, full sugar baked goods from time to time!
