What do you eat for breakfast?

I have two go to breakfasts, oat bran with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon, and my favorite is two eggs over medium on 2 slices of Sara Lee 45 calorie bread toasted with a turkey sausage patty. Both quick and easy and super filling, and around 200-300 calories0

On weekdays, it's one slice of whole grain toast (25 g) with almond butter (~16 g) and honey/jam/marmalade (15 g of whichever one). That's about 250 calories. I'm not a big breakfast person. If I'm still hungry, I add a glass of milk and/or a banana.
On the weekend, it's 2 eggs and one or two slices of buttered whole grain toast. Occasionally, my toddler talks me into making pancakes instead (from scratch; whole grain; if I put blueberries or chocolate chips in them, I don't need syrup; my husband and son still do).0 -
I usually stick with Wheetabix, milk and a spoonful of sugar but lately I've been making myself some protein smoothies which have been super filling, instead of using protein powder I've been doing:
125g Fat free cottage Cheese
60ml of fat free milk
100g banana
50-75g strawberries (or any combination of fruit)
5g honey
20g oatbran/ oats
It's so good and tick and keeps me full for ages. If you're not a fan of cottage cheese you can also use tofu which is equally as nice!

I have about three go-to breakfasts, all of which I have alongside coffee and milk:
- Uncle Toby's flavoured porridge, 15g chia seeds, 150mL full-cream milk (if I have uni or work, this is always the go)
- poached egg and half an avocado, smashed, on toast
- fruit smoothie - banana, mango, coconut milk, chia seeds
All of these come out to approx. 1500kJ, or 360 kcals, once you include the coffee. Lately I've started adding a serve of protein powder to the smoothie, which increases that by about 500kJ. I find them all nicely filling, but they're not exactly loaded with protein (except my recent smoothies) so I feel like I have to play catch-up the rest of the day.0 -
Might be having my second Krispy Kreme right now instead of my prior listed porridge...........3

I have 2 go to breakfasts:
1. At the beginning of the week I will roast a whole bunch of veggies. This week it was 3 colored peppers and an onion. Last week it was mushrooms, zucchini, and red onions. I will eat about 100 grams of that with 2 eggs that I cook in the microwave. I was also roasting potatoes and adding that to it. So I would combine 100 g of veggies + 2 eggs + 3 oz roasted potatoes and make a "breakfast bowl".
2. When I didn't get a chance to roast my veggies, I do 40 g of oatmeal cooked in water with 16-32 g of peanut butter (depending on how hungry I am) mixed in the oatmeal with 2 teaspoons brown sugar.0 -
I eat the same thing every morning, have been for years. Fresh pineapple, greek yogurt, almonds and ground flax. It's a habit.
Funny thing is. I couldn't get pineapple for some reason for a couple weeks and within 5 days I got the first cold I've had in years. I swear the vitamin C in the pineapple keeps me healthy.0 -
My favourite is a whole wheat english muffin with avocado, a fried egg and salsa for around 300 calories.0

I work at 6am, so I bring a strawberry protein drink and have an apple. I have a stash of nutrition bars at 210 calories each if I feel hungry later in the morning, or, when I remember to buy them, I bring 1oz of raw almonds (170 cals) to crunch on. It's amazing that so many people have such elaborate breakfasts, I mean cooking in the morning won't happen for me!! I'm envious!1

I don't always eat before noon, but if I do it's usually an 'everything' bagel with cream cheese or 2 packets of instant flavored oatmeal (made with water).0
-
Pancakes with agave sweetener and Smart Balance buttery spread. Three pancakes are only 200 calories and low in fat. Round that off with low sodium turkey bacon and unsweetened iced tea. It's a breakfast that's under 500 calories.0
-
Coffee. If I eat breakfast I'm starving all day for whatever reason0

Last three days:
Eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans, mushrooms, tomato, black pudding, toast, tea.
Today:
Nothing.1 -
Today's breakfast was a rarity. Homemade brownies with whipped cream....why? Because yum. No Regrets!6

I am another strange fish for breakfast person. On weight lifting days I mix 2 hard boiled eggs, a pouch of wild salmon, some minced garlic, and a tablespoon of chili garlic sauce. I admit it sounds strange, but lots of protein good fats and taste.
On cardio days I eat steel cut oats cooked with frozen mixed berries... sometimes mix in a scoop of whey protein powder.0 -
Unsweetened oatmeal (instant or steel cut oats, my favorite) with a sliced apple.
And black coffee.0 -
Week Days:
Black coffee
Dry mini shredded wheat and banana when I get to work.
Weekends:
Black Coffee
Who knows.0 -
2 eggs, scrambled with a splash of skim milk and topped with Franks Red Hot sauce, a slice of good ol' fashioned Kraft American cheese, and a slice of lunchmeat ham. And about 24oz of coffee.0
-
2 Van's gluten free organic waffles with 1 tbsp creamy peanut butter. 1 cup thawed frozen mixed fruit on the side. Or 2 hard boiled eggs on the side.0
-
One of my "no cook" go-to weekday breakfasts is a half-cup of 2% cottage cheese plus a slice of whole grain toast with peanut butter.
The fat and protein keep me feeling full until lunch, and you can vary the amount of cottage cheese or nut butter to suit your tastes/calorie goals.

Whatever fits my calories and macros for the day. This ranges from; 6 egg whites and turkey bacon through to a whole box of cereal and milk.1

3 Pete and Gerrys egg omelette with shredded cheese and chopped broccoli mixed in
Add texas pete and pepper0 -
Protein should be part of every meal if you're looking for weight loss, so I have a protein smoothie daily. 1/2 cup of unsweetened cashew or almond milk, 1/2 banana, I cup other fruit (I like frozen berries because it makes my smoothie cold and thick) 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, 1/2 cup probiotic yogurt. Ta-Dah! Keeps me full, gives me tons of energy, and I can whip it up in about a minute.0

I pretty much eat the same thing every morning.
Two (sometimes three) slices of whole grain toast with peanut butter and jam with a coffee.
It actually keeps me very full at least for a few hours.0 -

Me too - my weekday breakfasts are coffee, with sweetner and half and half. But my favourite meal to eat out is breakfast - at anytime of the day, and my "omg I cant think of anything for dinner" dinner, which is two eggs over medium, 3 slices of bacon, rye toast with peanut butter and of course - coffee. I like this meal because it is filling for me, a good protein hit, its usually available anywhere at anytime on the weekends, it doesnt create any weird comments or looks from my friends, or cause the server any headache trying to accommodate restrictive requests, and I can easily track the calories in it.0 -
I tend to get my bread fix in the mornings. I usually have a plain bagel but will occasionally splurge on a Quik Trip Glazed donut.
Sometimes if I've had a few bad days I'll have a protein bar for breakfast and then skip my usual mid morning snack.0 -
I rotate between a few:
Oats with Greek yogurt + frozen blue berries + chia seeds
Oats with Greek yogurt + half a serving of cranberry nut trail mix + chia seeds and pumpkin pie spice
Banana whole wheat waffles with Greek yogurt and fruit
Greek yogurt with kashi cereal and fruit
protein powder, whole milk and coffee (sometimes) with a PB rice cake
I buy full fat everything, most of these keep me quiet full until my next meal.

Morning food makes me hungry all day too...I just call my first food of the day breakfast to make myself feel better0
