I stopped reading half way through.... you pay someone to make you cry because.....?
Cancel your subscription to SW, log on here, and give yourself a break, you have a tiny baby!!!!5 -
Sorry I gave up reading about 8 lines in but really the crux is you have an 11 week old, be a bit kinder to yourself
It takes a while for pregnancy hormones to leave the body ...and during that time some people experience more difficulty in losing weight
Take a deep breath and go for a walk
There's only a few people who's opinions in the world matter ...a slimming world "consultant" is simply not one of them6 -

DITTO, COME HOME TO MFP!3 -
I am sorry I couldn't get past the part that pasta and potatoes are free so eat unlimited? You read this in SW??!1
-
thanks guys i know the post is long but i needed to vent. i know mfp is the way forward but i still feel i dont want them to win0
-
Holy cow, unlimited pasta? I'd be gaining 4lbs a week.
Ditch Slimming World. Log your food on MFP. Cut yourself some slack, you just made a human!!!4 -
Yep it's part of your 'free' foods which you can eat unlimited... yet you can only have 45g of fibre and limited milk. they got very defensive when i questioned it1

I read all of your post and I agree with the advice above. If it were me, I'd not be going back to Slimming World - why subject yourself to that?! - (and I wouldn't be caring what they thought of me!). I'd spend what I'd save in weekly subs on a decent weighing scales so I could motivate myself with my own weekly weigh-ins. I'd log in here on MFP, not worry about eating potatoes and pasta that I wouldn't normally eat, and take it from there. Don't be so tough on yourself - new babies are hard work!0

Well, they do make money from keeping people around... encouraging them to eat unlimited pasta is a good way to make sure no one succeeds too quickly, lol...9

In what way don't you want them to 'win'?
Why not focus on you, not them?1 -

They 'win' when you come back, week after week, and give them your money.7 -

I know it's counter productive, but the way I was treated was so horrible I was so humiliated and I guess I want the chance to be able to leave with some pride. I know I shouldnt care.0 -
Maybe if you structure your post in parts with some distance between new thoughts I could read it.0

The best revenge is living well. Remove that kind of poison from your life and embrace things that empower you. MFP gives you the tools to help empower yourself. For free I might add2

I'm also really depressed and at rock bottom so comments like that just make m,e think what's the point in reaching out6 -
If slimming world lose you as a customer... the 'consultant' will have lost. Punish her by not going back and reward yourself for being a good Mum by logging on here and finding supportive company.6

I get the distinct feeling that even if your post had been grammatically perfect and set out in a flawless essay, you'd not have got a lot of empathy from that direction, hon. Don't let it get to you.5 -
There are some comedy sketches about a slimming consultant like yours. The British comedian David Walliams (who performs with Matt Lucas) created a character called Marjorie Dawes. She is insensitive and foolish in equal measure!3

Sit down with hot beverage of your choice
Is this your first baby?
it can be overwhelming ..and depression is a physiological issue many experience post-natally, it is not anything you've done ..get some help, talk to your med team
Also stop pressuring yourself ...I put on 14lbs with each child (well with my first i gained 52 but a lot of it flushed away in the first 2 weeks, the rest stuck around...with my 2nd I put on 22 and had the same experience)
Give yourself time
Eat healthily ..ignore SW and dieting for at least 3 months more ..you can log if you want but don't be overly self critical
Get out with your baby, meet new friends ..baby groups, coffee shops etc
Sleep
Let other people watch the baby while you do
Don't blame you for ranting...they sound foul
Vote with your feet
