Don't give up ... i know it is a struggle (just got back on the wagon myself this week) but YOU are worth it!!!!0

No quitting!!@!!0

You need to find supportive friends on here. You need to be inspired by people that are going through the same thing you are going through. I highly recommend you friend people on here. You can interact with them, hear from them daily, and receive daily encouragement from them.0
-
When I think about slipping, I think about the reasons I'm doing this. If you want/need it bad enough, the reasons you're doing this should help keep you motivated.0
-
Don't quit! Set some mini goals for yourself along with rewards for meeting those goals. There are a lot of us here to support you. It is a long process, but it is manageable. I personally need to lose at the very least 170 lbs. Every little bit helps but just remember that you are taking the steps to correct years of bad habits. You can do this and you will do this...we got your back!0

Don't give up -- I have the same amount of weight to lose and I'm down 7 pounds in less than 3 weeks. Now THAT is encouraging to me. Once you start seeing the numbers on the scale drop, you will realize it IS worth it, and the end result is going to be amazing. I can't stop thinking about how good I will look when I've reached my goal -- and I will feel healthier too. Are you happy with how you look now? If not, why would you want to give up already? No, it won't be an overnight victory, but it will be so worth it in the end! Good luck, you CAN do it, and feel free to add me!0

I look at the success stories and people who loose the weight always say it is worth it. I know it is, all the things I want are worth just eating right alone. Keep it up! and don't give in I am right here with ya I m looking to loose 90-100 pounds and its hard work. Friend me if you would like0
-
When I first started I had 110 pounds to get to my goal weight , its going to be a slow process just take one day at a time and no quitting !0
-
No quitting - take it one day at a time. I need to lose a total of at least 85 pounds. The number was way too overwhelming for me when I joined MFP, so I set it into two small goals - 42 by 42 (I will be 42 soon), and 43 by 43. Then I'll see if I want to try and lose anymore. I am currently down 32 pounds. Join up on a challenge or 2 on here - they are sooo motivating! A great one you can join anytime is the Battle of the Bulge Summer challenge. I am putting the website address on here for you. Good luck! :flowerforyou:

You can do it one oz at a time0

You can do it! :-) Don't give up, please! You're worth this.
Looking at the total amount to lose could get overwhelming. So try setting smaller goals... break it down in 10-20 pound increments.
Make small changes, instead of being overwhelmed with many changes all at once. The results from a few small lifestyle changes can add up quickly.
Also, take a look at this inspirational and helpful blog post "People who lost 100 lbs. all had these 5 things in common". I read it recently and posted it on my blog so I could refer back to it often. It's very practical information that anyone who wants to lose weight would find helpful!

I was in your boat, and now that I have been going at it for a while, I feel better, I am excited about the progress and I am feeling more optimistic than ever before. You can do this and you will.
Feel free to add me as a friend and we can do this together.0 -

No you don't not really. None of us do. You "want" it to be easier, we ALL do. But it isn't.
You can do this. It is hard and can be overwhelming but don't give up! :flowerforyou:0 -

I got this inspriational message on my phone from Bill Phillips of transformation.com:
"Successfully achieving most any goal is usually a matter of hanging on after others have let go"
and another
"The last thing you want to do, is often the first thing you need to do"0 -

Stay focus! I have the same goal of 100lbs I plan to reach that goal by June 25, 2011. My plan is to eat healthy and work out six day a week, 8 times a week. I jogged for 30 mins Mon - Sat..twice on thurs and sat, that equal 6 days and 8 times. I feel great! I'm already down 8 lbs in less than 3 weeks! Try to set a reasonable goal of about 2lbs a week and you will make that 100 drop in no time! Good luck!!!!0
-
It's a big goal and it's totally do-able!
Try not to focus on just the whole 100lbs. - break it in to smaller benchmark goals and celebrate each one!
I'm on a similar quest - I want to get to 130. I was 210 in October. I'm btwn 170-175 now! (stupid scale is broken at home ) It feels SO friggin awesome and I NEVER thought I'd be able to stick to it. I've gotten a little lazy with working out, but I'm shifting mindset and I'll get back into the routine this weekend.
A big goal just means BIG payoff! You're fabulous and are venturing to make yourself even more so. You can do it!! And you have the tools to help.

Forget your goal of 100 lbs... it's too scary and overwhelming (trust me, I know).
Instead set a goals for TODAY. Here are today's goals:
1. Today, I will keep my calories and foods under control.
2. Today, I will try to exercise at least 30 minutes.
3. Today, I will try to drink at least 8 glasses of water.
4. Today, I will log ALL my food choices -- both good and bad.
Repeat daily. And if you don't meet a daily goal, it's OKAY. It's part of being human. You get to start over again tomorrow.0 -
Hi,
Please don't give up on yourself, you are worth all of the hard work this
takes, this journey has a lot of struggles, and ups and downs, but
in the end it's worth it, if you give up now...a year from now you will be saying
man, if I had just stuck with it, I would be about where i need to be!
I will request you and I will be there to help support and motivate you. I
have been eating healthy since June 6th and I have lost a total of 19 lbs
with weigh in again on Sunday. I started with MFP a couple weeks later, so my banner only indicates 5 lbs lost
Hang in there, you can do this, I also have 100 lbs to lose, but the only way to get there is to push through the hard times,
and you don't have to deprive yourself totally, some people make the mistake of thinking that once you start this you can never have
the things you love again...not true, occassionally I have whatever I want and am still able to lose, so hang in there a while longer, get a network of friends going and you'll see you can do this, and you will feel so much better and so much healthier,
after a while, you'll be happy to be eating this way and you'll want to exercise every given chance! Remember...
WINNERS NEVER QUIT...AND QUITTERS NEVER WIN!0 -

yep! She's (DawnRenee567) amazing and encourages me all the time! I have a total of 120 to lose, and some days are definitely harder than others!!! Set up some mini goals! It's much easier to focus on the small ones! Right now I'm working @ 242lbs, which will be 25 lbs lost! only 5lbs you can do it. The great news is the more you exercise and drink water, the better you'll feel!0 -
All of you are so inspiring! I am so happy you guys are making a change in your life and sticking to it!
I understand how hard it is to loose weight and maintain it - mostly because weight is a difficult thing for most of my family.
Great work and you can do it! You look fabulous and look better and healthier every day!0 -
I'm new to this site; but not new to the weight loss struggle! I'm hoping to get support from My new Fitness Pals!0

You may be happy to hear that you just inspired me to keep trying. I'm on your side. Let's not give up - together.0

Hang in there. Look at it as losing 1 lb 100 times.0
