I ended November with LNS'ing on a very stressful day, so that is why my streak has been reset to 2.
Stress and wanting to find comfort from it with food is a horrible trigger.5 -

But my stomach is REALLY REALLY growling right now!!! Bad angry stomach!3 -
I just searched for late night cravings and found this post. Count me in! I often catch myself counting calories for the first 2/3 of my day, then estimating the rest in my head. I'm sure I'm going over on those days I snack late night!
Goals:
Assure all my calories are counted for the day before partaking in a late night snack!
Pushing through the cravings at night and remembering that they don't feel exactly like hunger.
December is my month! Thanks for the post!

Oh boy do you hit it where it hurts. JOINING....
I have beat this thing in the past! I drank water instead of eating. This go round, I am having a harder time with breaking this habit.
I am seriously considering getting locks for my pantry for my husbands snacks.
Unfortunately my stat is...

Would love to hear ways to break a late night eating habit. Just say no- the kitchen is closed ? If it were just that easy we wouldn't be writing about it. What do you do differently that helps make this work?1

I just changed my attitude. It's something that I need to do to lose weight, like also getting up to exercise at 5am. Both have become a habit that I just do anymore even when my eating is out of whack which I still struggle with today. This cut off time has become a relief. I say to myself, I'm done for today!
I make sure that I'm getting enough calories throughout the day. My cut off time is 7pm. I have a snack at 6:45. Since I get up at 4:45 am, I do go to bed early and live alone so this helps alot!
Most importantly, it just becomes a habit. Set a realistic goal that will work for you. Realize that you don't have to be prefect. There will be times with special occasions and holidays. Times to really enjoy life!7 -

This is the first time I've participated in this challenge and so far so good, although my mind returns to the thought of food all evening. I think one of my biggest issues with food is the LNS and I am really hopeful that by the end of this challenge the no LNS will start to become a habit rather than a struggle.3 -

I used to think that LNS was a reward for a job well done during the day, as in consuming all of my planned foods and drinking my water. I finally became aware like others on this thread that our weight journey is not only physical , there is a mental component involved. I allow myself 1 Organic (they say) Fudge Bar after supper. Part of my allowed foods. When I do so I feel that I am not struggling. I also like a quote from Steve Gullo - "I'm not going to let a cookie (you fill in the food) tell me what to do"

Just joined. I'm in. No snacking after 8. Whole family has dessert in the evening--I will join them with tea.3

I'm so in!! This is my biggest issue. I'm ready to breakup with late night snacking!5

I'd like to join, too!! I think maybe I don't eat enough fat, because I'm always starving by about 7:00 at night (I eat dinner at 4:30). I find if I don't take the first bite, I'm okay. But even one bite of anything, it becomes a downward spiral.
For December (I give myself gold stars on my calendar app, lol, so I know this)

same for me - none bites work better than 1. It usually starts with giving up, taking 1 bite or 1 healthy snack (raw veggie or fruit) & before I even notice, the fridge is empty :-I
