If your like most people, the answer is probably no. But eighty percent of your body is made of water! Learning how to drink it is essential to normal life and is even more important when trying to lose weight.
Simple Way to Tell
The easiest way to know if you’re drinking enough water is to check your urine. If your urine is a pale yellow color, you're doing just fine. When it’s yellow to dark yellow it’s time to get some fluids.
How Much?
The recommended amount of water to drink daily is six to eight 8 oz glasses.
When to drink it
When should you drink water? Drink water all day long. Don’t wait until you’re thirsty. At that point your body is screaming for help!
Myth of the Sport's Drink
Many of us have fallen victim to the mass marketing of sports drinks to cure that “deep down body thirst”. Gatorade(TM) is an excellent tool for high performance athletes at the end of their ropes. I understand the importance of water, but what is your take on powerade zero, or crystal light. It is so hard for me to get in 8 glasses of WATER in, although it makes it a whole lot easier with a diluted flavored drink.....any thoughts????0

I say if the only way you can get it down is to add something to it, go for it! Keeping our bodies hydrated is the most important thing!:drinker:

I AGREE I DRINK PLAIN WATER, BUT IF I WANT A LITTLE FLAVOR I ADD A CRYSTAL LIGHT, OR GET A FLAVORED GATORADE WATER(LEMON)0 -
I guess I have been lucky, I have always drank water or milk...thats that....I LOVE WATER. And until last week didn't drink enough. Now when I wake in the morning I fill a 32 oz (taco bell cup....hahahahaha) have a few good gulps while I make coffee (which I must have and do account for) I make sure to drink the entire cup by lunch and then fill it again....and PEE ALOT.....by 4pm I have had all the water they recommend.....
And about the article...you know I am noticing that my joints don't hurt as much, I think the combo of eating right, moving more and then drinking alot of water really has started improving things for me.....
YAY!
