OP - I'm 5-6.5 and started at 220. I lost 70 pounds in 2016, and have about 15 to go (goal 130). I have one piece of advice that you can take or leave.........this whole thing will suck and will not work if you're always hungry. Set MFP to lose 1 pound a month and roll with it. This is the SECOND time I've lost 70 pounds, so I know the drill. You don't have to be perfect all the time, just mostly good and patient.4 -

As you can tell, I am new here...and desperate to begin. I have always been a great starter...but now, as 2016 is coming to an end, I can no longer even give myself credit for being a great starter....I am finding it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to get started.
I have joined the gym..approx 6 weeks ago...I have been maybe 4x. I am tired all the time....
How do I, ..do we, get started?

Are you starting a 'challenge' group so you can have a team to lose weight with? I've joined one that will run all of 2017, and my ultimate goal is to lose about 70 pounds, but for the coming year I'm only looking to lose 70% of that amount.0
